Thread: non-existant droid resources

I have never seen Duralloy Steel the entire time that I have been a droid engineer. I am now a master. (on the Naritus server btw).

As you know, this resource is required to make armor. (and binary load lifters *chuckle*) I cannot sell droids without armor (with the exception of bounty hunter droids).

How long can I be expected to wait for this resource? Will it be harvested to extinction almost as soon as it spawns?

I cannot afford to travel to every planet each day to survey for it. Heck, as a droid engineer I can barely afford to travel. I think its good to have rare resources but right now I am severly limited.

Sorry, I guess I'm just another frustrated droid engineer.

The servers do seem to vary wildly, which I find odd... A lot of the "rare" droid resources are common on one server, incredibly rare on the next. Wanderhome has been lucky... lots of durally, ditanium recently... haven't seen much duranium, though.

Mallathar's Droid Shop - No more droids are being produced, but I've got a whole ton in stock, stop by and check me out before they're all gone! North of Moenia, 4964 -4092, Wanderhome.

Duralloy was in plentiful supply on Ahazi for about a week past (it just recently blinked out). I nabbed about 200k of it.

I'll feel lucky then. Currenly on Lowca - Tatooine, I'm harvesting Duralloy, Diranium and Ditanium. All three are in rotation and have been now for about 4 days.

When you see the stuff, you really just need to harvest the crap out of it. Then when it comes around again, see if it is better and do the same. Thats what I've been doing, especially with the Duralloy and the Duralumin. They seem to be getting better then worse in a cycle on Lowca.

No duranium on bloodfin either

I think there is some on Tat right now.

I have yet to see Lidium extrusive ore on Bloodfin since I became master and it sounds like it has only appeared once.

WH has been extremely lucky with resources... I have good stocks of all the rare resources needed for DE.

Lets me be the cheapest DE on WH!

Once a resource spawns, it will be around for 5-8 days regardless of how much it is harvested. The depleting resource idea was dropped in beta, I think it was too hard on the DB. As for when you can expect to see it, it's completely random, so it may be tomorrow, it may be months from now. Try your server-specific forum, maybe somebody can tell you if its on another planet currently.

It should also be pointed out that you can build lower armor (I think Level III) without Duralloy steel. Two Level III armor plates will max out your armor rating (since it seems to be capped at V right now).

No, you need two lvl 4 plates to max it out. 2x lvl3 modules will give you medium at 25% resists. Lvl 4's give you medium at 40%.
