also, repair bots can't repair, binary load lifters do not lift loads, and Protocol droids can't translate languages

Just to clarify, any droid with a medical module in it will allow you to heal other people while outside a camp or hospital. The type of droid does not matter at all. It is suspected that surgical droids were supposed to be able to heal you but as it is... they don't. My advice (don't tell anyone else) is to buy a MSE droid with a med module in it... it'll cost you 1k and do the same thing as a Surgical droid.

Your first reply is correct, but the Surgical Droid wasn't designed to heal. It does ENABLE a medic to heal anywhere the droid can go, except a cantina, I believe. The other droids are simply broken.

Here's the deal with repair droids....They're busted...Howver you CAN make a repair droid

Once you get to 3,0,0,0 you can make a nifty thing called a repair module. The key is is TO NOT place the repair module in a humanoid droid because 'repair other droid' is not in the program menu, instead place it in a 'other-type' of droid such as a MSE, probot, R2, etc. Once you tame this droid one of the programming options will be 'repair other droid'. There ya go!

One key disadvantage, you cannot repair your own droids, however the development section mentioned something about a new schematic for the droid repair kit being added soon....only time will tell.
