I have a repair droid. It is a LE repair droid eqiuped with a repair module, LvL 2 Medical Module and Droid Armor 3. Also has stupid personality. My question is how do I get him to repair other droids. I transfered my probot to my buddy and could not figure out how to use my LE to repair him, Please help

Repair modules in LE Repair droids don't work. They're busted right now.

To make a repair in any other droid, you target the droid that needs to be repaired and then instruct your droid to repair it using whatever command you programmed for it.

FYI, they're also busted in power droids.

Ironic that the two droids that people would want the repair mod in the most don't work.

I just want to be 100% certain on this - I have yet to build either, so I don't know from experience. Do LE repair droids and 2-1B surgical droids have any inherent function, or do they require a module to work? For example could an LE repair droid still repair, if it didn't have a repair module, and could a surgical droid still allow medics to heal wounds, without a medical module?

I'm inclined to think no, given the discussions on the topic here but I had to check...

Thanks

No, without modules surgicals and LEs are as useless as a basic protocol droid.

And as to the specifics of your question, an LE repair droid won't be able to repair with OR without a repair module. They are just plain broken.

For some further clarification, the repair module requires a verbal command, and is not programed by default. But the conversation interface on the Surgical, Protocol, and LE Repair droid does not include a way to program the repair command. The final result is that, while you can put a repair module in your LE Repair droid, there is no way to command it to repair the other droid.

Also, the Repair command and the Recharge command seem to take up the same slot on the Power droid, so a power droid equiped with a repair module also has no way of being commanded to repair.

Repair droids that can't repair. I never cease to be amazed at how totally retarted that is, and how its still not fixed. If weaponsmiths had a gun that didn't shoot it would have been fixed long ago. How about armor that is can't be weared? or lamps that don't light up?... oh wait... the architects have those... and they share the same Dev as us!

Hello every one : ),I don't know if any of you have noticed, I have'nt tested all models but there seems to be a corralation between "manipulater arm package sets" and repair modules working,,,if a droid does not have the pakage set it cant repair another droid,,like I said i have not tested this in all models,,,,,I'd like to here feed back from other de's and there experiance with this possibility.

maybe the fix for the LE model simply is changing its spec requirments to use a package set instead of "manipulater arm"

The DZ70 has a manipulator arm, non-set, and the mouse has no arms at all. Trust me, its the inability to program the command thats causing the problem.

Actually, it's not so much the inability to program the command. With the LE Repair, Surgical, and Protocol droids (both Standard and Advanced models for all three aforementioned droid types), all those droids have personality modules and therefor "talk" to you. Any droid that is a "talking" droid does not have the "repair" command anywhere in it's programming tree, nor can their programming tree be altered based on installed modules. That explainswhy you do not see those droids doing repair work ever (at least not at this point). And yes, I find it quite retarded that a droid with the word "Repair" right in it's name can't even do that very function. It should be intrinsic, just like the Power Droid being able to Recharge.

Along those lines: as far as the Power Droid not being able to do Repair goes, that's a slightly different problem. I am going to guess here that non-talking droids can only have one "additional" command added to the command tree. In most cases, with a non-talking droid (Mouse, Treadwell, DZ-70, etc.) when you install the Repair module, you get a Repair command. But with the Power Droids, remember that they have an intrinsic "Recharge" command that's on the programming tree. My theory goes that since that is the one addition to the tree, the "Repair" command does not show up. This is somewhat like putting two crafting station modules in a droid, but only one is active regardless. The one with priority wins out. In the case of the Power Droid, the Recharge command wins out over the Repair command.

And yes, I think it is retarded that the Power Droid can run out of power itself.
