Thread: Is it safe to say
With the patch still not in and we know it will take a week or two to work out the bugs, thats a given for all patches with any game. We are maybe still a week away from the patch, so at absolute best case scenerio we are still at least 3 to 4 weeks away from sin and thunders work even being seen by the dev team.
It will take some time to go over everything, then it will take several months at best to get it all implemented.
We are easiely 4 to 5 months from a fix and dont forget they are working on vehicles as well.
Now i know it takes time and frankly thats certainly understandable, but can we at least for the time being get a bone. Give us back pre-nerf probots tell you have the chance to fix us. Somthing, anything, in the words of holo thanks for your patience, please please please show us you mean that and give us ANYTHING.
Thanks
Yes, it will be quite a while, but there was a reason they nerfed probots anda good one. As it stands, with the upcoming changes, probots are better than any cl10 creature (assuming you have level 6 armor in them). Obviously the devs are trying to reduce the pet wars (and that includes droids) aspect of the game, which makes sense. The idea is a pet should never replace another character, pre-nerf probot is most definately replacing another character in your hunting group. The HAM is just about right considering the armor and low damage is actually better, as it gets combat types more xp for themselves (if your not looking for combat xp, why are you sticking around to see how much damage it does?).
Actually they may be better in stats but they are not better in theory.
First that pet you have can be healed with stim packs, that droid you have cannot.
Second the change with auto store now effects droids much more adversly then it does pets.
And a cl 10 pet will still do more then 50 damage.
Frankly the probot was an example, and since ch has riden the high horse for so long what would be SO wrong with de haveing a month or two of spot light.
Doesnt this actually prmote the flavor of the month by the way they are fixing handling things?
I could be wrong but i wouldnt expect to see your business increase anytime soon. Choose between a probot and a creature the creature wins everytime for the simple fact it can be healed you dont sit around a camp fire chatting while you wait on it to heal back up in your data pad.
My main business is stim-b sales and yes i expect to see that increase by a ton
, Just to bad my loved profession will sit in her house doing nothing for some time to come.

Yes, but to heal a pet with stimpacks you either need to have medic and buy stims or buy pet stims. Either way you're going to wind up spending more money than the droid costs (assuming the probot is reasonably priced), spending precious mind points, and spending time/combat rouds healing the pet. A probot is much more efficient, and won't take as long to heal as pets if you don't have any of those medic skills (since you rely on the armor instead of the HAM).

TH said they are looking into this, so my hope is that it won't go live for droids, or if it does we have a way to bring them up.

That means you get less xp. If your not worried about getting xp then the extra damage the CH pet is doing probably isn't much against whatever your going after.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because things got crazy with CH's doesn't mean that needs to happen with droids too.

Not sure exactly what you mean here

I think every customer I've had get a probot has said they love it more than their creature pet, one of my friends is a BH and has said on many occasions that she couldn't do it without the probot (not the tracking ones). If someone does that much hunting generaly they just get two probots. Most of the time by the time one is out of HAM the other is ready to go again. And unlike pets, if you really go through them, you can have 5 if you want.

Might be because we have opposite businesses that we have opposite views. My main business is droids (can barely keep up with the orders, generally a couple hundred k a day at least) and I sell stims on the side when I have time., Just to bad my loved profession will sit in her house doing nothing for some time to come.
Your replies are absolutely ludicrous! To heal a pet you need 'some' healing or pet stimpaks??? Just about EVERYONE has some med skill, otherwise they arejust as useless in the field. I'm a MDE and I have novice medic. We have no option but to store our droid when he takesa beating now and that isn't a fast cure for his ills.
The cost of buying pet stimpaks will cost more than buying a droid ? This is plain rediculous. You have to store your droid for hours to get it back to full health.....OR you can heal your pet with a few hits of your 500 credit stims with 20 charges and be right back in business. What sounds like a better deal??
Tell the truth, your a CH in a DE disguise. Your arguements are rediculous.

I'm just going by what all my customers tell me. I never have nor will I ever own a creature pet, so I don't know any of the stats off them first hand. What I do know is that it doesn't take anywhere near a couple hours for a probot to heal, its more likea half hour or so. as far as the droid costing less in the long run, lets say you've got those 500 credit stims, if you go through 2 of those a day (and I'm sure you go through more than that if you do more than a little bit of hunting) you will equal the cost of a fully armored probot (I sell them for 10k) in10 days. If its one you build yourself its more like 3. The primary reason everyone has medic skills right now is because of creature pets. I think that once people realize that probots are better than CL10 pets (and I've got some customers that use bothcreatures and droidsthat say they're better than CL15) they will drop medic to continue on with some of their other skills, as many people are running out of skill points.
What I am saying in regards to the cost of healing a pet vs storing a droid is the value of your time. Does a person want to spend their credits on stimpaks to heal a pet when credits are rediculously easy to get, or do they want to store a droid for an hour (even a half an hour as you say) to get it back to full health and continue on in their missions?
I have both a gurreck and a probot. I use them both until the probot takes such a beating that I have to store him away. In the meantime my Gurreck keeps going and going and going....only because I can heal him up repeatdly with a stimpak. The number of stimpaks may be high, but buying by the crate with the easy to get credits is nominal anyway.
Time is money in this game. I think people are using the creatures over the probot only because they can't heal thier droid (not to mention the goofy 50-58 damage they do). Even with the droid repair module installed does us no good. It only heals wounds, plus you can only have one droid out at a time.
if time is your concern just use 2-3 probots. unless your taking on something that is tearing them apart extremely quickly (at which point you won't be able to keep up with healing a gurrek) you will lose no time swapping between probots. If you still don't like this, then what you should be arguing for is something to heal droids, not stronger droids. pre-nerf probot just means you get to wait for it to heal longer.
