Guys, I want to make a Droid Engineer with a shop, what’s the best way to go about it? What skills should I have in DE before I even open the shop? What do you guys do have stock or do special orders and is there even a place in the market place for a droid repair shop?

Chassisfor home decorations also do well as do storage droids (any chassis).

My advice: make medical droids, go to the medical centers and sell them to novice medics. Offer free paint jobs to anyone with a droid you see.

Stock your store well. Stock component parts well so you can crank out in custom requests in minutes instead of hours. But dont overstock - you will get better and better at making parts, and don't want to be stuck using junk when you can make better.

Sell chassis with clever names - they make great home decorations.

BTW: Congrats on the new correspondent. Much better than the old one last time I was here.

And to all the "members of the DE community" who were so rude to me when I was seeking clarification on the old Holo DE macro post (and, in general, just plain outright nasty to ALL the Holo-DEs):

Yea, I entered the profession due to a holo, but I mastered it WITHOUT using the macro, and made a fortune doing it.

In fact, I mastered it a couple weeks ago, but I'm trying to crank out enough droids to handle the "tail off" from my droid business before I drop it. As yet I can't get far enough ahead - they are buying them about as fast as I produce them.

ok first off start up a shop when you can make droids with medical modules. no matter what medical modules you put in the droid they will sell, i as a master still make r5 droids with 55 medical for 2k each.

but with an r3 medical110, food and chemical crafting, item storage-35k it makes a difference.

anyway, i would be in an area where there is no other DE shops, like for me im in a player city, only de in town, down by the shuttle port we have our shopping district where every TENT SHOP is put up.

owning a tent by a shuttle port will generate alot of business.

my top selling droids are, in order.

1. seekers
2. Arakyd probe droids
3. R3 Droids with Medical
4. Power droids with Medical
5. R2 Droids with Medical
6. Protocol droid chassis
7.BLL Droid Chassis.

and the rest just sell about 1 per day.

also A VERY GOOD THING IS A STOCKED VENDOR.

i get emails daily thanking me for just a STOCKED droid vendor.
