Thread: Its the stab in your back, and nail in our coffin.
MCH here. WhenI heard about the Droid Handler profession I was to say the least a bit confused. Aren't DE's supposed to be the DH's of this galaxy? According to TH you guys have been asking for a DH profession. I know that this is not the case. And I rarely read, let alone take part in this forum. From the looks of it, TH doesn't either. Unless.....
He cannot tell you theREAL reason why DH is being introduced into the game. It is so they canfurther thin out and perhaps eliminate the most "unstar warsy" profession in the game, "CH". By giving those CH's, who long for the good old days of commanding pets that strike fear in the opposition, a chance to regain that feel. And at the same time bringing more of a 'Star Wars' feel to the game with the addition of more droids in general. Droids that are worth their wait in steel and titanium that is.
The CH profession has been nerfed 3 times since launch. And now it looks like it will be replaced altogether. But what a way to do it. TH won't tell us this because he would lose his job. His job is to convince us that the DEVS are listening, while they basicly do what they see fit.
Like so many posts I have read before, this is just an observation. It actually makes me sick that I would even consider such a scenario. Let alone post it. But its plausibility was too overwhelming to ignore.
I am truly sorry that our eventual demise is linked to the stab in your back.

CH does have a place in Star Wars - you have the rancor trainer in jabbas palace ( obviously someone who loves and cherishes his profession and his animals) Stormtroopers who ride on trained dewbacks, and gungans who ride into battle on trained Keedus's. Someone has to train them, just as someone has to make droids.
BUT NOONE HAS TO TRAIN OR HANDLE A DROID!

YUP... But I dont agree with you because It is going to nerf your profession. I think it is redundant to have two similar professions. Why waste DEV time. And why not think up something origional instead.
Very well said. I have felt bad for the DE profession every patch you guys were forgotten. Now to read TH say this is what you wanted when we all know that's a complete lie baffles me. It really does feel as if CH's are slowly being phased out. I could ask TH, but what could he tell me that I could actually believe? I have been looking to the droid invasion, but apparently it's being done under the guise of a profession almost no one wants, a profession that takes away any uniqueness from CH's and could quite possibly make them obsolete...
