Thread: DE's ... Calm down! P.S. Hey! Been a while :P
Ok guys, for those that are stressing over this "DH" issue take a breather. Seriously, relax.
I was a little curious about it myself, but look at the plus sides to it.
1) If you only became a DE to handle the "ubber" droids then when this new profession appears all you have to do is lose your DE skills and go take up the other
2) For those that became DE just to build droids and were getting exceptionaly annoyed at all the "I want droideka" fools, you've got your wish
3) There will still be lvl10 droids plus elite droids for the new profession so either way DE's market increases 10 fold
4) Only DE's can make droids
5) With the DE profession parse its likely our reliance on professions such as Artisan will decrease enough that we are able to lose some skills to gain DH skills
Whether this is what you wanted or not, its obviously going to happen so you may as well relax and decide how best you are going to benefit from it.
P.S. hey guys! Been absent from this board for a while ![]()
You know, I don't think most of us are AS upset over the idea of a DH profession, as we are about how Thunderheart said we 'clearly stated' that is what we are looking for.

Thats the boat I'm in. If TH had simply said that this is the direction that the Devs have chosen to go in and given a few simple reasons why its the best approach as opposed to our suggestions, I wouldn't be so upset.

I for one was hoping for more droid functionality, like droids being useful.

This is 100% how I feel -- heck, if I keep playing, I'll probably *become* a DH. It's not that I feel the DH is a horrid idea, but after the lack of keeping posted dates, the lack of communication, and the feeling that we are being strung along ... this post by TH may well be classified as "the straw which broke the camel's back."
I became a Master DE right after the "1st wave" of Master DEs hit Starsider, and I toughed it out as I watched many of the other DEs leave the profession or quit the game. After last night, I am left to evaluate being a master rifleman/MCH or quitting.

Agreed, I don't think people are as angry about the possible creation of a DH class as about it being said that that was what the community wanted - when in fact the community had indicated exactly the opposite.

You can't miss it, it's got a LOT of responses.

Im lost. When this become the 'set in stone' decision? I must have missed a few posts. I was under the impression that the DH idea was tossed for being the steaming pile of **edit** it is?
As far as we know it isn't set in stone, however, despite the huge outcry against it, there has been no Developer response saying "oops, we see that you really hate this - we'll scrap it". Also, from past experience, it seems like once something gets tossed out, it usually ends up being done.
