I read through alot of posts about how this and that would be illegal and a break in Continuity.

1) Combat droids are illegal ..

2) Anyone owning a weapon bigger then a cdef without papers is illegal

3) Being a Rebel is illegal

4) ANY animal classified as dangerous is illegal to own

5) SPICE is illegal

6) illegally modified items ( sliced items ) are illegal

7) Practicing Medicine without being a Doctor in the timeline is illegal

8) Harvesting or Minieng without proper papers is illegal

9) Selling or transporting anything without going through the propper channels is illegal

10) but the best one that you never hear anyone complain about is

CLONEING in this time frame is illegal and a break in Continuity.

so as long as the Vision permits 9 of the above 10.. NO one has room to Complain about combat droids ruining Continuity.. they are more of a part of Star Wars then any of the above 9 that are allready in the game. Lucas himself stated he wished he had the ability to of added more droids in the movies and have combat droids more common, but unfortuatly technology and bugget restraints prohibited their implamentaion.

DE's have been broken since beta.. for pitty sake even the Chef profession ( one as a master DE I used to pitty ) has more working and usefull producs then a Master DE... and they are recieving a complete rewrite ( and notice they wont be needing a new profession to use thier food and drink either )

Uh, when the heck did combat droids become illegal? I'd seriously like to know, becuase I don't know where you people are getting this. It would have to be from some EU book becuase it definatly isn't from any of the movies or from anything I've ever read about Star Wars. Now I do remember back when the REPUBLIC made the creation ofDroid ARMIES illegal but they never made Combat Droids illegal. But now the Republic no longer exists. And the Empire not only hired combat droids as bounty hunters but at this time period was in the proccess of making a droid army.

The empire made combat droids illegal shortly after they took power. The empire didn't want someone to get the same idea that the lord of the sith had back in episode 1.

Yeah um like I asked before, where are you getting this? Becuase you sound like you are just making it up

Here this is from the Star Wars Databank...

"Arakyd Industries curried considerable favor with the Empire with their exceptional line of military and security droids. For this reason, they were awarded the contract to supply some of the highest ranking officers in the Imperial echelons with personal servant droids. Or, at least, that's what the Imperial Security Bureau would have everyone believe. "

Now how the heck could Arakyd Industries have a line of military and security droids if combat droids are illegal? Site sources, where does it ever say that combat droids are illegal?

In terms of the background Combat Droids are illegal in much the same way as most millitary hardware technically is("Interesting, but citizen, could you please tell me exactly why you need 3 millitary grade combat droids? Don't let the stormtroopers taking aim at you put you off").

However, galaxies doesn't make the particular distinction as can be seen by the people running round with flamethrowers etc.

Yeah I know certain makes a models might be illegal like assasin droids and whatnot, but why would that make all combat droids illegal, such as security and hunting droids.
