Thread: Joke of the month... The Droid Invasion
I'm holding off on buying a Treo 600 because it doesn't have Bluetooth and the upcoming Treo 610 does.
Yeah Kollos, have you ever been bluejacking? Its not illegaland can be quite funny! sending a picture of someone to thier phone without them knowing where it cam from...
Do a search check it out.
Sorry forgot to mention, I think a lot of people see this as a nerf but in the short time I have spent here I have come to trust certain peoples views.
TK hasnt promised anything but personally I think ill sit back and trust his judgement... After all they cant afford this many people to be unimpressed for very long.

I've tried, but apparently most people around here don't run around with their phones in discoverable mode. I know I don't, so bluejacking really isn't that big of a deal to me. I suppose it might be to people who use Bluetooth headsets with their phones, but even then all of the phones I have seen require (by default)that you manually accept any incoming Bluetooth connection. Sure, you can disable that, but if you do and you get bluejacked it's your own fault.
Sorta like running an 802.11x WAP with no encryption... you're just asking for trouble.

Assuming you meant TH, but regardless, we've been sitting here unimpressed since the game started....almost 8 months....should we have to wait longer

Whether TK or TH, sorry, the DE's still just don't have any real purpose. No matter what the Dev's say, CL10 pets are not meant for any combat beyond the first three of a Novice skill. We have no combat pets, our utility abilities are limited and are permanent (no need for repeat purchases after the first droid) and only worthwhile for their Medical rating.
DE's just don't have anything.

The only thing they are adding is the current droids being able to go into combat. If I wanted that, I would get a probot... So now we can send R2D2 in first. Whoopy!
Invasion my foot. And we're suppose to get excited about this? Do us all a favor and destroy the "Droid Invasion" wallpaper for 2 reasons... First, we will never see Super Battle Droids nor regular Battle Droids. Second... actually seeing RIS armor is rare. And if you DO see it... it won't be in combat. It's a show piece to boast about and that's it.
The vast majority of players have very little use for CL10 combat droids. Do the Dev Team care one iota about that? No! They are so isolated in their ivory tower that they have no idea how underwhelmed playersare about the so called droid invasion. With the exception of a few Dev Team apologists, CL10 combat droids willgo over like lead baloons.
No system is perfect, and we can't expect the Devs to always get things right. But is a little bit of common sensefrom them too much to ask? Could the Devs, for once, not settle into Group Think? Is everyone on theteam always drunk ?
