Yeah, I agree - it's a positive change.

Most of the time it's an annoyance more than anything else, especially since I can't bring myself to charge for coloring anyway since it only works well on surgicals and Probots (and on the latter it's a pretty ugly tint anyway).

However, I will stock some on my "courtesy vendor" that has batteries on it. I don't think they will be any larger financial market than they were before - not until they fix the coloring bugs so it sticks reliably on all models, and isn't for such a short period as 20 calls (50 isn't bad...).

Once those are fixed, I see a proprietary product that lower-DE's can sell to help them build their business from the bazaar and that some people will always carry one of in a backpack likethey will a battery - as long as it doesn't need to be applied constantly.

They aren't taking anything away from us. When was the last time someone hired you to customize their droid? This is a business opportunity for us, like vehicle customization kits are for master artisans. We can sell them, people can use them instead of allowing their droid to change color every call if they choose to do something about it. If someone says "Hey, my droid says Cutsomization has completely faded when it is called." you can sell them a kit to fix it.

And someday...in some Galaxy, hopefully near you, they will just buy them and not have to ask at all.

"Droid Customization Kit: kit useable by anyone"

Thanks so much for taking something else away from us. Lord knows, we were all asking for this more than anything else.

Also, it's it great thatSOE put the two most-bugged things in the game(RIS armor and droids) on one wallpaper for us? I hope it's not a preminition (sp)

Well this one is not stupid for me , i am tired of explaining how to /consent and being forced to be present each time a customer want to change to the color of his droids .

Gosh, I forgot about that, LOL.

I've found that most people who think about the color of their droid enough to have it done aren't usually combat types who understand the /consent command, so I found myself explaining it just about every time.

So yes, I'll be happy to run off some crates and sell them on vendors - makes my life a whole lot easier and will make people who enjoy such things very happy.

Not to mention, the worst question of all : "What colors can you do?" "Well, I have around 70..." "Show me some..." when they don't realize that it takes up a charge just to show them, lol.

Well is a very good change for customers and DE alike.

Customers can change the droid color 10 time a day to fit their clothes... and I can tell you some will do ^_^

Ok, sorry I misread the statement. My bad. But still, I'd like to see a compromise at least, to show that DEs still have pull with things they create.

Ah, ok this is an excellent point. I yield to this superior viewpoint.

Heh. Well, now that they've undone the damage they did, at least it's on our shoulders now to let the customer know what to expect. I plan on giving a customization kit sales pitch everytime I get one of those "what's up with my droid..." /tells.

You asked about the good stuff on another thread. There you go.

This is a pretty good time saver for me (and for everyone). That means more time to setup factory runs, search out the new rares, etc.

See...I'm thinking that the Droid Invasion thing is actually going to be a lot cooler for us than some imagine. People think the sky is falling and forget there's a lot of good stuff too.

LOL, nice try TK.

If you think this tiny annoyance, that isn't even being fixed until Publish 8, is going to make up for the HUGE armor nerf and all of the additional crap we are going to have to put up with in terms of factories and rare resources you didn't read anything I said in that other thread.

The sky is falling in a lot of respects, TK - most other DE's seem to see that.

I posted in this thread to acknowledge the very tiny changes that were good - butif you thinkthis, the ability to stim our new gimped droids and a power meter is "a lot of good stuff" in comparison to what is being taken away,I'm worried. Very worried.

Well this is also good news...indisputably good. Sell the things and get on with making..excellent.

I do agree with Audio though Tk, you are searching for any little thing that is good to justify the overall Badness...It's like saying the winter isn't all that bad because its only 20 degrees below freezing, and not 21.

It is still damned cold.

But since im not a MDE anymore, all this stuff affects you all a lot more than it does me. Im just a customer now (for the time being .)

It was said in a light-hearted way...I know you know.

No..it doesn't make up for it.

Hey...I see the bad stuff too, Audio. I don't deny that. I dunno right now...it's too soon for me to really dig in deep to the armor thing, Audio. I will say that maybe they are thinking about over-nerfing and then relaxing on those numbers as part of the plan. /shrug

I'm going to suggest to them that they make this is a number one short term issue to look at and consider as it relates to P7. Best as I can see, it seems to be the major item right now.

Those two alone? No. The cumulative stuff...yes, some good, some bad (and armor really bad). We're not really disagreeing on anything here, Audio.
