Was browsing one of the latest releases of the Astromech stats on the homepage of SWG, and I found a very interesting disparity. On all the american servers, rebels outnumber imperials. But on the European servers the imperials outnumber the rebels.

Anyone else find this interesting? Oram Ispacing out from this fever I have cooking in me?

I think it's very interesting.

But if I start to get into a discussion as to why I'd have to get out my +100 suit of flame resistant armor, and I don't take that out of my droid anymore - too afraid of decay.

The Europeans do a lot of things right... topless beaches... no drinking age... Imperials actually outnumber Rebels... Guinness...

Here is my Theory on this...

The european servers are a few months younger than the US servers. When the game was first released it very popular to go rebel, now not so much any more. What you are seing in some of those statistics are players that have canceled thier accounts since release. SOE does not delete the characters therefore it still counts the stats.

Wrong! There are drinking ages... but quite lower than in US (in Spain the legal age to drink is 16)

duncje,

you made my day... even though you wrote Guinness instead of Pilsner Urquell

but the woody is right, I was wondering too andI asked myself instantly, whetherit was myuniquesenseof tidiness that made me prone to shiny white stormtrooper dressesor my fancy for running around in plastic or wheter my subconsciousness allways wanted to have me andprincess Leia alone a prison cell.

So, AudioOrgana at least I would appreciate your help and any post with a very straight personal point of view, will probably help me, to learn more about me.... If they flame you, i´ll get you an fire-extinguisher once publish 7 is out and not bugged.

Hehe, when the stats were first posted, we had an interesting discussion on another forum.

We're rebels, and we're playing on an european server, which is the only place where imps outnumber rebels. Of those, Chimaera is the one with the highest imperial % population.

Is that, from a rebel point of view, good, or bad?

Me, I think it's cultural. Americans have easier to identify with people trying to free themselves of oppression, whereas the euros are willing to forgo justice for the fun of saying "Die rebel scum!"
