This would be a buff to the DE proffession:

Suggestion one:

Remove all needs for electronic components in droid components.

Suggestion two:

Remove most need for electronic components in droid components. Say, remove the need for them in components that needs only one, and set the need of components to one for components that need more than one.

For instance: No need for components in a level 5 medic module.

Need for one component in a level 6 module.

Suggestion tree:

Move the ability to craft such components entirely from master artisan, to novice droid engineer. This would make more sence that a class dedicated to advanced computers aka droids, would be able to build electronic components than a generalistic crafting class.

Suggestion four:

Move the ability to craft electronic components to engineering 4.

The DE proffession need buffs, not nerfs. Making it simpler to make droids would be a buff.

the only suggestion I agree with is making electronics a Engineering4 item.

I happen to think electronics themselves should be in more things (most sliceable items), not less, and electronics should have some effect on the quality of the object.

DE doesn't need to be "buffed" that's a power gamer -ism. DE needs to work, and make sense, and contribute to SWG.

Yeah, I agree on that.

Currently DEs havefour markets. Tree out of these are one time sales.

Bounty hunters.

People going after master doctor. (To do buffs. Healing wounds is a very "what if" schenario. If people needs wound healing they don't ask medics or docs to do it, they go straingt to the hospital. One time sale.

Rich people. People who want something to spend their money on something, for instance a luxery toy. (Have some returning ones here)

Crafting stations, yes, but under hard competition of the arhitect crafting stations. I nagged the customer service for 3 weeks in a row to answear me thisquestion: Does droid crafting stations give bonuses to your crafting? Yes or no.

The answear was no. So you can just craft the crafting stations with your most crappy materials.

Good thing about this, is that it neither gives penalties. So the droid crafting stations are better than arhitect crafting stations with negative crafting bonuses. Still, most people won't settle with this, and will want an arhitect crafting station sooner or later.

Besides, this excludes the elite crafters, unless you lie to them.

I've made about5 -6 mill or so from this since last xmas, but it requires hard work to make a decent stock, and lately, I've been more focused on the combat side of the game. The so called droid invation haven't excaktly increased my motivation to continue my call in SWG.

To sum up DE: Create luxery items for rich people, and r2s, with medic modules, f+c crafting stations and perhaps a storage module toaspiring docs. Once in a while sell seekers and arakyds to BHs. If you spend time and efford to convince a crafter, then you MIGHT sell a crafting droid.

No crafter will ask you for a crafting droid though.

Here is another suggestion:: Add droids with limited uses (like the BH droids) , that could beef up the crafting skills of a fellow craftsman.

I hear the argument beeing used: We can't have that because if droids are able to beef up anything in the game, then we'd have to nerf every other class.

Why didn't this apply for the chef proffession?

They have even got food that buffs the experimentation points of other crafters!

Why not make a droid that can do this, that has got limited uses??

Or some droid googles with limited uses that would enhance aiming?

Or a defensive droid with limited uses that would absorb damage?

Droids with limited uses that would give a bonus to assembly?

A mind enhancing droid with limited uses that would add to your leaning capabilities aka experience (for instance 10 %)

If chefs can have all this (and more) Why can't Des have it? Why is it that "every other class have to be nerfed" if DEs get anything useful and popular when this apparently is not valid with chefs?

They promised us way back during the Koster regime that they were looking into this; that they would either reduce our reliance on another profession, or increase everyone else to compensate.

Like many other Droid promises, like being able to have multiple droids out at a time, it's not even vaporware at this point.
