Thread: Uninformed consumers, or am I thinking too hard?

I have been selling droidstim 'B's on the bazaar at about 2-3 per day. Sensing a slight need for these, I began placing Droid stim'C's and'D's on there as well. Now the C's and D's have not moved one inch. My B's continue to sell as before. What got me thinking about why this is happening is that maybe players equate Stim-B's to Droidstim B's. Since most people keep Novice medic for self preservation purposes, they should know that Stim-B's are the highest stims they can use. Are they not buying my Droid repair C's and D's because they think the same restrictions apply to these as do their Stims? I have priced my Droidstim C's & D's proportional to the B's. I think I may try deleting the letter designator at the end of the Droid stims and just let the values of their effectiveness advertise themselves.

Has anyone else come across this in selling Droid Stims? Am I just looking for something that just isn't here?

I'm gonna try and see what happens.

Yeah I don't know what the consumers are thinking. But I did a factory run of 1000 of those stim Cs. They sell very briskly to say the least. I inform my clientel abou them in my thank you email, my vendor barks I have them available. But they constantly drop off my vendor. Feel good that atleast you are selling the Bs. Every now and again I do get a run of people stocking up on a few crates, but that is few and far between.

I have been preparing a run Adv Stim Ds just to see what power I can get them up to, but I baulked at the lastest spawn of Malab Siliclastic Ore, the stats didn't look like they would help me.

Crazy question flower but do you name them droid Stim 'B's? As such might it be that people are buying them thinking they might be Stim 'B's? Just a thought.I totally agree with your idea of removing the letters and letting the stats sell them, plus never forget the value of the description box, good descriptions are how I keep a long list of regular customers.

To be honest, I think the majority of people don't realize droids can even be healed yet. I have had several people ask me how to get the droid to heal even with the Reapir Kits for sale on my vendor. I am going to start renaming the things to droid healing kits as soon as I run out of my last factory batch.

Any customer of mine who buys a Combat droid know to buy Repair kits if he reads the droid description. At the bottom of every combat droid description I have the following line:

Dont foget to buy Batteries and Repair kits to keep your droid in peak condition at all times.

That seems to do the trick. Everytime a person buys one of my combat dorids, they also buy at least a crate of batteries and a crate of repair packs as well. On all of my medic droids (my biggest seller the last 2 weeks for some reason) in the description I say: Dont forget batteries to keep your medical module running. Batteries last approx 1 hour per charge.

Again I tend to sell alot of batteries when I sell medic droids.

On a side note, I finally have the resources to make all adv sub-parts for Repair Ds. Still the best I can make is 1760 Power, 35 charges. I think they need to make the repair packs 50% more powerful.

Oops forgot to mention, when I make the Repair kit schematic, i name it -Droid Repair Kit D - 1760 Repair 35 charges. This seems to help move them off the vendor. Every now and then I forget to label the schematic, and those repair kits just sit on the shelf. People seem to want a good product description in the product name.

Thats a good point about stims vs. repair packs or something to that effect. I think I'll take note from the docs/medics who label their Stim's with use/power or vice-versa. And yeah Machine, the last spawn of Malab was a joke......without a punchline.

Thanks 4 the inputs
