Ok i have been a DE for a long time, but have never gotten around to crafting them ( architect is my main profession). Now i have some real good resources ive been using but i am having trouble on a few modules.

1) When i make creature harvesting modules i can not get past 17. I am +25/+23 DE, and i am using : copper 933/945, gas 963, and steel 567/998 ( cond/oq ).Now this is one of the best steel spawns our server has had ( intrepid ) and i am crafting in a research center. Tools and stations do not matter but tool is 15 and station is 43.36%.

What am i doing wrong? What do i need to get 18-19 on these. I hear people on our server hitting 20, and yet i am using just as good resources as they used.

2) Medical modules - i am only hitting8 on these- level 4 ones as i can not find the aluminum for level 5/6. I know these arent good. However my guestion is : how are these calculated? Is it like combat modules 600 is rating but not firepower? I am just wondering how i will hit 110 on these if ican only get 8-10.

Ive hit 90%+ on almost ever component but these 2. SO i think its time to ask for help so i do not waste materials.

thanks

Well if your filling up all your boxes with the experimentation on your Harvestors, then that means your resource limited. The other must have some stuff that is a little better. Your Gas will probably be the easiest way to improve, until a better steel spawns.

With the med modules, I always make levle 6's, these have a rating of 12 and give me the 110 max rating. So I don't really know about the lower modules. The stuff for level 6 med modules shouldn't be to hard to find.

1) It's your steel flower, you need a better one. Go on swgcraft.com search by co/oq for your Galaxy and then do a WTB on your Galaxy trade forum, that should see you competing with the big boys

2) Same deal with Med modules, you NEED to build level 6's, quality of materials and experimentation have no effect, Level 6's will always provide the 110 'bonus' so you WTB Link-steel aluminium. Don't get too much though as it spawns about once every 4-6 weeks on most servers.

Hope that helps honey

How do you explain this post then?

Kauri's resources are better quality than what has spawned on Naturius and I can't mimic what he claims to have done in this thread on creature harvest modules. Either this thread isn't true or there is some other secret to getting slightly better results that make the fractional percentages push it over the top. I have tried all the foods suiggested and in a research center with no results.Considering that Kauri's resources are quite a bit better ( I am using the best that ever spawned), I can't even get past the max of 109 that I have been making, not even to 110.

In case your curious, I am using Dimekaine Steel COND 639 OQ 982, Abiwep Copper COND 956 OQ 963 and Didigecsis Inert Gas OQ 980. Best I can come up with is a 109 CH module.

I believe the post has to be true or people would be posting that it isn't. I just am not lucky enough to get that super speical assembly to make something better ( I get lots of amazing assemblys, but they never seem to be anything more than a Great Success Assembly).

Using any special foods or getting amazing successes won't make your modules any better, if you're resource-limited.

I would say look for better copper first. You won't find much better than that steel, unless you've had a lot more luck on your server with spawns. The gas could probably use a bump-up too.

On Starsider, the best we have are my +107's. I use Iropoma inert gas (OQ 984), Best-ever-on-Starsider Takuv steel (CD 519 OQ 992), and Erobase copper (CD 969 OQ 982). My modules are indeed resource limited.

*edit* I've since read that an amazing assembly can start you out higher and make you max out higher. I'll definitely have to play around with that.

I knew the resources werent good enough to hit 90%+ but what can i do when you are using the 2nd best steel spawn ever

perhaps i should try a 650-750 cond and 800-850 oq if we have any.

For the medical modules i will be using level 6's i was just playing with the level 4's until i could get the aluminum i need.

But my question basicaly is will i hit 110 with 1 module or have to use all 6 ( using r3 droid)? I think the posts above said he/she was hitting 12 on their level 6's. 12*6 slots =72 medical.I have also seen many droids with 110 medical, 10 item storage, and food/chem crafting station in them. Im just not sure if im following here. SHould i use a medical droid instead instead of r3, do they get a "bonus" when comes to medical modules?

I did read the stickies above but many are out dated and i have answered many questions by reading those- but these two here have me lost.

Creature harvesting - i need better steel which we dont have ( we= server ), yet people arte hitting 20 on these modules. I think try a 990-1000 gas,, and maybe i can hit a better copper. But steel is best i can come up with im afraid.

And the medical mosules as i posted above - can someone explain that for me.

Thanks again

i am using about the same, i will try a better gas and copper. Steel cond will never hit past 750 i hear so i do not think anyone will ever hit 20 on these modules. Steel i think was a bad resource to use for these.

I will start my hunt now for better resources.

thanks for adding stats, i wanted to get a idea of what others have used.

One lvl 6 module = 110 Rating (uses one slot)

Or 2 lvl 4 Medical modules = 110 Rating (uses 2 slots)

(experimentation and resource quality doesn't matter on the above two options. You can use the crappiest or best resources and still get the same results)

You can experiment lvl 3's up as high as possible and combine with a lvl 4 to get 110's as well i believe, but why bother if you can make a 6 ?

Again i wish to thank all of you for the much needed help. Many profession forums you get yelled at for asking questions like this hehe. I have enjoyed myself so far making droids, i think its so fun just being able to make a large assortment of droids and no one droid is the same ( unless made that way) I have seen hundreds of different kinds and i think this profession has more play in it than most others. I hope i can get my basics down and then become a good DE.

Thanks again

Interesting -- I'm on Starsider too, and I'm using the Takuv steel, Irpoma gas, and Ebaoriexe copper with similar stats to your Erobase (I'm not in game so I don't remember), but I can't get mine over 17 either (total rating 103). At least this tells me that I have two of the three ingredients right, lol.
