Hi all, I'm still a little new to DE. I know that resource quality matters for the modules. Does it matter for anything else (chasis, artisan parts, etc), or can I use low-quality stuff for that?

Stimpack Dispensers if you make them
2 Level 3 Item/Data/Medical modules, when combined they will add up to a level 6 otherwise just use 2 level 4 or a level 4 and level 3.

Let's see...here's a short list of droid parts where resource quality matters:
1) Final droid assembly (its HAM)
2) Creature Harvesting module
3) Combat module
4) Repair/Reconstruction kits and all its sub-components
5) Detonation module
6) Droid Battery (even though its not a DE component)
7) Interplanetary Survey Droid
8) Auto Droid Repair module
9) That dumb scout trap module, probably...
Feel free to add others I forgot.

For the most part, yes... CD/OQ counts...
However, final combine, I think... It is OQ/SR/UT, or OQ overall (depending if you go for effectiveness).
Generally, I try to find OQ900+ Chemical to use on the final combine... Fiberplast, oil, polymer...

Daunte, a few months back, I was asking myself the same questions. While so far you are geting great advice, here is what I did as well.
1. First, if experimentation matters, then resource quality matters. Simple as that.
2. At first experiment on everything, no you don't need too, butthis will help you learn what experimentation and resource quality matters on. For 98% of the DE things, Effectiveness is what you want to experiment on. A couple new modules, and repair componants, you do other things, but for most stuff it is effectiveness.
3. When experimenting, watch the numbers on the upper left. When you experiment, you will see some numbers change there.
A. If nothing changes at all Experimenting and Resources don't matter.
B. If only mechanism quality changes, then Exp and resources don't matter.
C.If other stats change, such as charges, or HAM, then obviously, experimentation matter.
Yes at first you may waste some time, but fairly quickly you will learn and remember.
