The current system of having to completely redo the command for your droid to harvest something different off a different animal is time-consuming andannoying.
We should ask to be able toprogram intoa Harvester Droid, voice commands to make it harvest the three basic items: "hm" for harvest meat, "hh" for harvest hide, and "hb" for harvest bones, for example.
1) The main reason being simply that there are many times we stop off to potshot a lair of a different type animal while going to or coming back from the one we took as a mission, and many times these animals have different types, and lesser quality, meat for examplethan what we want, yet may havebetter quality hides or bones.
-- Being able to specify with a verbally spokenor /tellpet command would eliminate this problem.
2) Other times we may get aggroed by a mob of a different type, and not have time to reprogram the droid before battle starts, with the same results, i.e, a few units of crappy harvest.
-- Being able to specify with a verbally spokenor /tellpet command would eliminate this problem.
3) Being able to tell the droid to harvest different resources off a new mob after a resource shift would show you the qualities of all three types of resource faster, allowing you to quickly and easily select which one you want it to continue harvesting off that mob.
This could be done in the same radial menu spot that it occupies now, with the only change being selecting the command for each of the three types of resource in the first box that is opened, instead of the present separate box to select a resource.
I'd gladly give up theformation commands for this; how many times do you have your droid follow you around in Wedge Formation anyway? lol
But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong! :->

i agree.
I'd also like a commands for:
- turning auto-repair on/off (there's no reason not to have this one)
- detonating a bomb droid (though they may consider the need to select the radial menu off the droid in this case a "balancing factor" for all I know).

Knoil, I agree with you, but for the more rare occassions your talknig about, you can always Harvest yourself.

I'm diggin' this idea a lot.
It makes me think that we should get a thread going for any/all desired commands that could/should be set for the new modules.

takes three seconds to switch it from harvesting meat to another resource- 3 damn seconds. TIme consuming?
But it would be a nice feature i agree. But its not time consuming

Yes, there is.
You have to select the droid first.

As former President Clinton would say, "Define "time."" :->
Three seconds goes by very quickly when you've been knocked from your level 14 kaadu mount by a Stun or Knockdown attack, and you pick yourself up off the ground looking into the face of an angry Whatchamacallit, armed only with your un-modified Republic Blaster and teamed only with your Harvester Droid who'd rather run than fight, being an R3 with 6 harvester modules and therefore no fighting skills, and teamed also with your half-grown level 10 Rawl, who in combination with the kaadu gets you 180+ creature handling points per kill, all because you originally pursued Creature Handler as a secondary profession so you could have a pet and a droid out at the same time, but found you liked it so much that you've given up all Marksman skills to reach 2-2-1-3 in CH; in fact it goes by a whole lot faster than reading this convoluted sentence. :->
Kinda like the old saying, "When you're surrounded by alligators, it's difficult to remember that your original objective was to drain the swamp."
But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong! :->

Well, since we can only ever have one droid out... that sucks. I seriously doubt you can select a droid you dont own and detonate it
Yes, there is.
You have to select the droid first.

Didn't tried with befriend.
But I don't really see how it is related with the lack of macro cmd.
BTW, even if you cannot call a droid during a battle, it is only true from your datapad.
You can detonate a boom droid and ready another one right after.
But there is a few seconds delay before the detonate command can be used on it.
Oh, and not sure, but I think transfer do work during battle
