Thread: XP & Surrendering Skills
I think that if you surrender skills, you don't lose any XP, and you'll probably have XP over the cap that you're meant to have. But, as soon as you do something with that XP (eg learn a new DE skill) your XP will drop down to the cap for a Novice DE, which I don't think is that great. I think even gaining Droid XP by crafting something will make your XP drop down to whatever cap you're meant to have.

Right so basically a re-grind from 240,000 XP then.
Goodbye SWG in June then!
What I meant was that after surrendering all your skills (assuming you had the max XP for a Master DE), you will still have the max XP that a Master DE can have. But as soon as you try and use this XP (by crafting a droid and getting XP, or learning a DE skill), the game will come up with a message saying that you are over your current max DE experience, and your XP will be bumped back down to the max for a Novice DE.
Am I making sense? Is that how you understood it in the first place? ![]()
I saw it happen with scout. I had a bunch of un-used experience when I dropped back to novice scout. It still showed me with that experience enoughfor all the second level skills.
I hit the wrong button and harvested one hide, the system spam said I had gotten -100000 exp (don't recall exact number) and my exp total went down to twice a first level box.
I am not sure what happens if you re-train a first level skill, my guess is that it costs you everything except what you can now hold which would be twice the cost of a second level skill box. If I am right, and you don't make another droid part, you can drop it and retain enough experience for 3 boxes. It might prove to be only 2. Everything else you have to regrind.
