Hello DE's and visitors to the DE forums,

I am wondering what power detonation power I should be looking for when I build my MSE and R3 Bomb Droids?

At the moment my MSE are at power level 36. Which I think is a little low.

Well, 40 is the theoretical max for an MSE, but would require perfect resources. 36 isn't bad. I believe the max for an R3 is 60, and the best I've been able to produce is 55.

36 is pretty good. The max will depend on the resources that have spawned on your server. The best I have been able to make on Valcyn is 37 Adv MSE and 56 on Adv R3s.

Yeah i'm on Chilastra and the best i've been able to make is 35 but the toluim gas spawns are rare and bad on Chilastra

I've gotten up to 39 power on the mse's.....but thats only after over a year of collecting the galaxies best droid resources...I would say 37 is probably about average for a top-end rating for most de's

The highest possible on a single module is 10. It takes some really nice Tolium gas to get there - which is tough to come by because it's prized by Docs as well...the best I've acheived is a 95% which managed a 39-power MSE Adv,

I've landed a 9, and when stacked in an R3, I get a rating of 59. You also have to have some great copper and inert gas.

You really can't make a 10. You would need totally perfect resources with all perfect stats, not just good tolium. Perfect Inert and copper as well.

So realistically the best bomb droids we will probably see are 59 power.

I have 999 tollium, 983 inert and some good copper.

regularly get 58 big bombs and 39 mse's

My clusters turn out to be 29's consistently

Is the only time experimentation matters when making the Detonation Module? Does it help to experiment on the combat cluster or droid itself?

I got some 973 tol and after lots of testing have been able to make 58 Det R3s. The funny thing is after all the work and blah blah blah, I only had enough 973 OQ tol for about 6 R3 droids. hahah.

Question #2:The 6 Month 30k Resource reward.... if I want Tolium for that, what quality would it be?

Experimentation isn't really required for the cluster. I use good OQ chemical on my R3 deed then experiment on effectiveness. I get the HAM up to 4477. This will help the droid stay alive in the case of a Jedi attacking it. Nopoint in usingarmor...no droid armor exists (that I know of) to defend against a saber.

As far as the vet reward, a couple of things. 1) your best tolium gas is that Macho. If you use your reward for tolium, get Macho. 2) Check and see what the highest price for any resource is (vendor serach, etc). You might be able to find something uber and higher priced. Use your resources deed for that. Sell that 30K (or just the resource deed - on Bria, these are going about 4-5 mil) in your trade forum, then go buy some tolium with your wad of credits. If Tolium is the highest priced resource, then just get the tolium with the deed.

Since I am just beginning to get established, I'm big on finding someone selling a resource really low, then turning around and selling that resource and the standard server cost. I two sellers of 941 OQ tolium (Bria's highest) around 12 cpu. I bought over 160K of the gas, sold 100K of it at 30 cpu, made some money and walked away with over 60K of free gas. You may not want to go through all that trouble, but it was worth it for me.

The 30k reward allows you to chose from a list of every resource ever spawned on your server. So you can basically get the best tolium your server ever spawned.

Even if it is only 802 oq *grumble grumble*
