Thread: Show me the money!
“We have no content for the player base so let them grind longer and we get a few more months of subscription fees. And we give the BHs more ‘content’ to choose from” /thumbsup
/bump
It's a pitty no one even replyed "You are wrong...."
In that case I would go to bed with the hope jedi can hve desent outcome ![]()
- As Tanks said, Force Powers will likely soon see a 50% (or more) reduction in Force Powers.
- As far as the Devs are concerned, Visibility is working as intended and there are no currently plans for any changes to the system at this point in time. The Devs did say that they'd review it though.
- They said that elemental damage has been fixed (again) and should be going to test next week. This should give lightsabers about a 25% damage boost. On the flip side, no elemental damage is working anywhere so non-jedi weapons will be getting approximately the same boost.
- The devs have stated that they are considering adding a mind cost to force healing to limit the amount of times a jedi can heal. They think that force heals are still to cheap and easy and are unbalanced. They seemed pretty set on this one.
- They are currently looking into removing Jedi names and levels from the BH mission terminals. This way, a BH won't be able to bottom feed as easily as he won't know the strength of the mark until he actually finds and /cons him.
- A bunch of new lightsaber animations should be hitting test center next week.
- They are extending the cool down timer to Force Drain so that it isn't as spammable.
- Force Run will be a toggled ability so that you can turn it on and off at will.
- Force usage for Force Run will most likely be changing as well. There will be a lower initial cost for enabling FR, and then a small recurring cost to keep it going.
- BH Roots are NOT working as intended. BH should not be able to chain them together. A fix for this should be introduced within the next few weeks.
- They have acknowledged that there are not enough single attacks at Master levels and will either be reducing the number of area attacks or introducing more single attacks.

if you think that pvp jedi are a$$hats why are you griding jedi? not that i dont agree with your sentiment about vis but as many people are sayin now in these jedi forums why are you hating your own class. i just dont get it, pls explain how talking smack that way about your own proffesion is gonna help anything. those pvp a$$hats jedi as you call them were prob pvp a$$hats b4 they were jedi and would be the same regardless of wether or not they are on their jedi toon or alt toon. its not the jediness that makes them creeps.

As I just read a report/post from “fanfest” about how vis is working as intended and there are no intension to change it…
To me this is:
“We have no content for the player base so let them grind longer and we get a few more months of subscription fees. And we give the BHs more ‘content’ to choose from” /thumbsup
The sad thing about this is that it only penalize grinding padawans more and not address the problem with the “elite PvP jedi a$$hats” that every non-jedi is so annoyed about.
Bh droids for the most part sell fairly quickly. allong with bomb droids which shouldnt go for less than 10k a module in the droid, check local bazzar's to find what other DE's are selling at and aim for the high end.
Get a good location, keep a good droid stock, and they will come, IMHO.

I've been MDE for a couple months now but business isn't all that great. I have a little trickling in from medic/combat probots and i've sold a few BH droids. I've even sold a couple crafter droids. I knew when I started out that Droid Engineer wouldn't be a booming business which is fine because i've got things to grind. What i'd like to know is where the meat and potatos of DE is. What do you keep a regular stock of? In a given week what's your average estimated profits? What are your most popular items? etc.
Well lets see..
I keep at least a 25 stack of almost every droid component and tool component (barring the few that I simply didnt have resources for at the time I thought of doing a factory run of it.
I hand craft every droid apart from boom droids and other bh droids. I only put up to 5 of each type of stock droid I think of making and only make another one if I fall to 1 or 0 of that item. Sometimes this means crafting light a few days a week or spend one night replacing stock from the previous weeks sales. Depends on how much I had sold the week before and whether I feel like crafting for several hours ![]()
My main sales are Astromechs (usually at least 1 sale a day, weekends are usually better though) but I can't forget the BH sales. With the new stack size the sale count isnt so high but I also sell single BH droids so these sell more often (maybe 2 or 3 a week). I would say on average I make 200k a week but some weeks are extremely quiet while others are extremely busy. Crafting droids sell well too and storage droids. I try to offer storage options for most droids I sell to give people the choice to buy a single droid that has what they want. As to actual profits, I cannot gauge these myself as the resources gathered are used by my other characters and harvested by my other characters, but her money does climb... My DE is currently at 14mil with my AS slowly approaching 6 mil. I rarely by resources or components so I have hardly any cost centers apart from maintenance and power consumption of which the former is currently non existent.
Your best bet is to check the vendor search at a bazaar and see what other droids of a similar nature are being sold for by other DEs on the server.
EDIT: Also, I remember vaguely my first few months and they weren't so great themselves. It wasn't until I placed a few adverts on the eisley bazaar with the waypoint to my vendor and kept the vendor stocked up with what was being sold that sales increased.

This was the same for me. Around 6 months and 1 sale a week. I thought I had a great spot just seconds from a starport. When I changed my vendor location to just outside Mos Eisley my sales more than tripled. Both places was on the vendor search (Control-V), but back then there was no vendor search on the bazaar yet. Best advice is get an easy accessible location on Tatooine, Naboo, or Corellia. Put some stuff on the bazaar with vendor waypoints. Build everything, stock everything, and see what sells.
