What is Heavy Leather and what drops it and whats it for?

And what is this stuff I see, belts and back packs with stat increases that are NOT due to SEAs?

I was gone for about 3 months, is there new loot that allows tailors to craft even more items with multiple stat increases?

Thanks

There are schematics for the backpacksyou can getfrom the Imperial and Rebel theme parks that will add to various stats (+3 ranged/melee defense, etc) when you wear them. The heavy duty leather is required to make those backpacks, and the leather drops from just about anything (meatlumps, Nightsisters, ewoks, etc).

yes its very simple but annoying actually.

imo, the ingr list should tell you (i.e.) "copper-ogasis" or something so u know what material and its specific name but no it says sadly only "ogasis"

every resource has its own type and name like polysteel (type) copper with name Ogasis

a factory shematic needs always exact same resource to work, so another polysteel copper would not work with old shematic

hope this helps

What I tend to do, is my crafting in a workshop where I have my resources bagged and up on the walls. I keep my personal inventory clear of resources, and pull out only what I'm going to use for that particular schematic. This way, when I'm done with the schematic, I can run outside to my factories, drop in the schem, and toss in the only resources I have on hand.

I do this though so I can wear my toolkit.

If you have a backpack it is a lil easier, just pull the resources out of the pack and put them in your top level inventory before using them in the schematic. Thus again all of the schematics resources are on hand, the rest are in your pack.

Hello. I'm new to DE and im having some problems. I'm in a guild so most of my questions have been answered (i.e. what is a factory, where can I find resources, etc.) but there are still some things that have been left unanswered to me at this point. I am using my factory to create crates for bulk items and crates for droids that I have been asked to make. However when i go to the ingredients list it lists a bunch of materials that I have never heard of and cannot figure out. For instance, what is Carbilic? Carbtetragevimeate? Durebarbeiac? Teetah? I don't get understand what any of this is. Can someone help? =(

To explain this I have to explain how resources work. I'll try to keep it as simple as possible though.

When a resource spawns... let's say, a copper... the resource generator creates randomised stats for it, and gives it a name. Anytime you find the same copper, it will have that name. Occasionally the same copper will respawn later, I've heard rumors of it happening but it's so rare I've never seen it myself. As a general rule, if something good spawns, get as much of it as possible, because that exact resource will never be back. Maybe one better than that, but never the exact same one.

Now, if your item requires two resources, ten units of copper and ten of steel... you have to select two specific resources. The stats of the final item depends, in part, on the resources, as the maximum for your experimentation is limited by your resources.

So with that example, let's say you make a schematic for 1000 items that require ten copper and ten steel. You'll have to have 10,000 units eachof that specific copper and steel to make everything in the schematic. You can't use 5,000 of one copper and 5,000 of another.

The crazy names on the schematic are the specific resource names of the copper and steel you used.

Just go to SWGCraft.com If you want to know what kind of resources you need.

When you're at the site look in the left hand menu. There is a link named find resource under "resources".

You can input a specific name in the search engine and many other things like the quality, resistances or even the server you are on. Just click on "Find Resource" after you have selected everything you need and the side gives you the information you are looking for.

One suggestion when starting out is to make crates of subcomponents first instead of crates of droids. You'll need many more Droid Brains and Droid Sensor Packages and Advanced Droid Frame units than you will R2 unit with Medical Module installed.

Look at the things you're making and start to create factory runs for all the little things you'll need to make your droids.

Also remember that even though the Factory Schematic goes up to 1000, you don't have to (and often cannot) make a full run. Also remember that the schematic will only work for those identical named resources you used for it.

One good hint for telling which copper is which is in your inventory click the little icon in the upper left corner that looks like this: <o> That will open up a side pane with the item stats for what you have highlighted. So instead of having to left click, hold, examine each item, just single click on it and read it in the left side panel. Makes finding that particular resource very easy.

Also remember that for storage space you can leave items in your factory's Output Hopper, but you can't put them back in. So if you make 100 crates of something, only take out 2 or 3 at a time so that you don't have to find space to store the 100 items in your backpacks, house or bank. You can store items in the Input Hopper of a factory, however if things go missing from there CSRs won't help you out.

Never forgot to pay maintenance on your factories. They use a TON of money to keep running. They use a lot of power too, but only when actually making items. Check status often and if you'll be gone for a while add some friends you can trust to the Administrator list so they can pay maintenance for you.

As an aside, amen to the idea of putting something likeType (Name) in the schematic view and ingredient list. Seeing Copper (Acekate) instead of Acekate would really really really help crafters.
