Thread: My droids have stopped working...can anyone help?

Can anyone help?
I know this isn't strickly to do with the DE profession, but there may be someone on this board who may be able to help me.
I have two droids.
Firstly I have a Merchant barker driod that I don't have the option for it to bark any more. All I can do is get the waypoint from it. Once you have programmed it, it that it?
Secondly I have a Structure Maintainance Droid, which the Edit Structure List & Run maintainance options on the radial menu have stopped working. The options are there, but clicking them has no effect. I have only had this droid 2 days!
Both droids are powered to 100%

There is a known bug with the structure maintenance droids where if you redeed a structure without removing it from your droid's maintenance list first, the droid becomes non functional. Not sure about the Barker Droid problem you're having.
You might try contacting the DE you bought your maintenance droid from... perhapshe/she will replace it.

Well Renmei I can guess what happened and you will have to tell me if i am right.
1) The Merchant barker requires Advertising 4 to use. Did you program it yourself? or did someone else? If someone else programmed it and you tried to change the bark message then you wont be able to use it. It will only give out the waypoint. OR did you have Ad 4 and then drop it? If you drop it you wont be able to program the droid.
Usually the problems are related to having Advertising 4.
2) There is a known bug with this droid. If you have a harvester (or another structure) programmed into the droid you MUST remove the harvester from the droid list BEFORE redeeding the structure and moving it. If you dont do this the droid will break and become useless. Did you recently redeed a structure that the droid was going to? If you did the droid is toast.
You have two options: 1) See if the DE who made it for you will give you a refund or make another for you. If He/She was on top of things they should have known about this bug.
2) Keep the droid and wait to see if the bug fix will fix the droid (possible but unlikely).
This bug is currently being worked on by the QA team (according to our correspondant).

Seems to have answered my questions. yes, I have just dropped Advertising 4, hence ad barker not working. I'll keep hold of the driod tho, coz I may well go up the merchant tree again.
Also, yes i did reclaim a deed on harvester.
