Thread: Interclass BLL use
Here's some logic for you.
Take the time to build a 100 BLL droids of varying complexity. Model, using a number of mates, the effect implementing your idea will have on the DE community, the economy of SWG and players as a whole. Show the positive side of your idea, make note of the negatives. Print it out in triplicate, with lots of nice coloured graphs and what have you, bind it and deliver it to SOE.
8 months later, the DEV's will say, what a great idea, thnx for all the hard work, now here's that new combat droid you wanted. ![]()

Harsh, but true.
As for the original idea, I like it but it might be a little too strict. How about making small houses exempt?
Yeah, as I said, "large buildings and harvesters". Since small houses and personal harvesters are pretty common, anyone could place them.
Small houses lie below a level where BLL's are available, i.e. BLL's are 4th box and above, to be fair, things around 4th box or so in architect (huge stuff) could possibly require a BLL to place.
That way, BLL's can have some sort of a unique purpose that seems to fit it's role, moving things around. It doesn't have to be completely realistic but somewhat plausible and game balanced. This way if people want to place huge buildings and move them around, they have some sort of small dependancy on high level droid engineers.
ahh whatever, I need to sleep...
Hehe, notice I was just calling it a neat idea, not actually asking a dev to implement. This is because I thought if I brought something up we can have our nice little fantasies about how thing might work, speculate on the possibilites and faults... anyways, it seems everyone is ready to flop over and point the carbonite gun to their own head and pull the trigger.
So I'll keep my fantasies to myself. Ha, more for me...
