With all this talk about DH's and level caps and who can handle what all....

Would it be very difficult to just use the same theory that's in use regarding the level of animal pet one can control, for droids? Maybe upping it a tad?

A normal person can handle a critter that's up to CL 10. One who's got CH training can handle a critter based on their level of experience. Couldn't that work for droids as well? Say, a normal being could control...I dunno...a "level" 15 (or some such, just putting in a random number) droid. Then one who has a bit of DE training can use droids based on their level of skill, etc etc etc...

It just...it makles no sense to me that if I make an R2 droid, that I wouldn't be able to control it. It's a droid. it's programmable. I do understand the whole BE thing...because critters have minds of their own. They can't be "programmed". But to put in a new profession instead of hinestly trying to fix the old one just seems..silly...

*shrugs* Please forgive me if I've just repeated something that's already been said. I've tried to go through all the threads here, but it gets to be a bit much to read after a while....
