So the hybrid proposal is shot down with the excuse that it is imbalanced.
Please explain to me what this supposed imbalance is!
hmmm let me see...if a combat class want's to get droids they can either master 2 trees of the DC profession or in the hybrid 2 trees of the DE professions. Therefore no difference in that one then.
Perhaps it's skill points, let me see now...is there a difference between the skill points required for a CH or a MDE...errrm no so it can't be that either.
hmmm...so the only final difference is that unlike CH's who have to capture their 'pet' we can craft them.
Somehow i'm at a loss as to what this precisely imbalances?
Ahhh hold on i've spotted an imbalance....for the first time, we the community were able to effect a major backtrack by the devs due to our powerful rejection of the DC class.
After the dust settled and the dev's looked around they realised they had made a mistake...they'd *SHOCK* *HORROR* allowed their OWN CUSTOMERS to tell them what the game should be like!
Well I sense those fragile tiny egos of the devs huffed and puffed and stamped their feet.....'we can't have that!'
And reinstated their *PUKE* DC profession.

Forget it i'm outta here WoW what's that over there?

Perhaps' i'm being hasty...i'll give you hopeless bunch one more chance (the last one of a gazillion)

IF YOU CAN TELL ME A PRECISE BREAKDOWN OF WHY THE HYBRID PROPOSAL IS UNBALANCED DIRECT FROM THE DEVS MOUTHS I AND MANY OF MY FELLOW DE'S MAY STAY IN THE PROFESSION!

If I had to guess I'd say its because it was adding combat abilities to a profession that already had pretty large crafting abilities (no, not quite as good as most of the others, but hopefully getting better). If you look at the really the only other profession that can both craft things to sell and has combat skills, its the smuggler. Smugglers aren't that great at combat (not without pistoleer at least) and spices, while profitable, is extermely limited. What the plan suggested (if I understood it right) was essentially taking someone with DE and ranged support 4 (or whatever the melee equivalent worked out to be) and gave them combat skills, above and beyond all the crafting skills given by DE and combat skills given by ranged support.

Hmmm...we don't sell anything m8...Armoursmiths/weaponsmiths etc are all millionaires whilst we really do not have a market for anything, and in relation to CH we are not getting combat skills above anything else.
(And what really is the difference between going our and capturing a creature and having to mine dozens of specific resources anyway)
Besides your still guessing, there still has not been any definitive breakdown of the imbalance Back to top
