Thread: Futility and lack of respect — I’ll part ways now

Well my old and new peers I must bid you farewell. For those of you who joined DE back in the beginning as I did, I really wish I had your stubborn streak. For those of you who are new, always expect to be let down for you are on a ride that has no intention to bring it out of the hole it has sunk into.
I remember a feeling of wonder and pleasure out of droids way back in the beginning but now all I feel is shame and embarrassment and a whole lot of anger. I can recall many many of the retired DEs. I seriously enjoyed reading their posts and was made sad when they announced their leaving the profession.
I've been thinking about leaving since before christmas, it was always the hope that the developers would do the right thing that kept me going but after reading the rejection of our brightest idea I'm calling it quits.... maybe its even time to cancel my subscription and go play horizons- playing a dragon seems to appeal to me
I leave the fight in a few weeks, long enough time for me to set my shop in order finish my friends last requests and then I drop all DE skills, to the new generation of DEs. I've tried for sometime to find something in common with the new generation, but even that has been strange: they have hope, I and many of the old DEs do not have it any longer.
I tried to make a difference in game and in the message boards but I feel I've failed in both counts. I know the majority of you havent a clue as to who I am unless I sent a LE Repair droid's head flying at your ownhead 
. Seriously, I hope someone steps up and is there for the new players, I always tried to show mercy to them even though most others yelled at them to look through the posts... come on, just give them a break and drop a link in the page... we were noobs at one time also!

I know my humor isnt the same as everyone elses.. I tend to be very sarcastic. That being said I salute each and everyone of you!

This whole game is a glorified carrot on a string held outside your reach. One day you finnaly get to take a bite out of it and it turns out rotten. Its the most painfull realization that that carrot youve been chaseing wasent worth a dime.

Sweeeeet, more sales for me... 
I know everyone's frustrated, so am I - but there's no reason to not drop the profession and come back later if you're that unhappy with it. I've thought about it myself, even after saying many many times that my main character will ALWAYS be a DE. But in the end, I can still give up Master Artisan and have enough skill points to play with a good chunk of the rest of the game. Take a break from it all, come back later maybe!
