Ok, as it seems we aren't going to be getting combat droids for a good while, so we may as well try to get some other ideas explored
Expert Systems is a plan to allow Droids to provide bonuses to skills in the same manner as Non-BE clothes can have skilltapes added to give bonuses (I know TH said that they wouldn't be making any modules that gave bonuses. I'm assuming that he meant that any modules that could be constructed with only craftable components would not give bonuses, but if TK can get a conclusive response i would appretiate it.)
Basicly an Expert system module would give a droid a slot similar in function to a slot for skilltapes on clothing IE no direct effect, but if a looted item is added to the droid it would then provide the bonuses of the item
Essentally it's a direct copy of the Skill Enhancing Attatchment system, with the difference that adding a slot to a droid takes up one of the module spaces
I honestly don't see how this could cause balance problems as the Devs would be able to control what sort of enhancements would be dropped, and the enhancements would take up the droids module spaces
Any comments, criticisms, suggestions?

What about the LE's, R3's and Probots we got in the last patch, or don't they count at combat droids?

I think it's a reasonable idea, but to be honest I think most people are now waiting for p8 just to see what we actually have to work with before suggesting enhancements or anything new...
