Thread: Highest DPS droid chassis

Hi there.Hi! I asked this of multiple DEs in-game and they had no clue what I was talking about, so I figured I'd ask here.Unfortunately us DE's weren't blessed with brains they all go into the droids. The DEs I asked just kept thinking that by DPS I meant combat rating, but I know that a probot has a higher DPS than an R2, both fully decked out in combat modules.I'll take an uneducated guess, do you mean DamagePer Second? So I was wondering if anyone here knows which droid chassis has the highest DPS. Is there any higher than the probot?Doesn't look like itThanks. Your most welcome.
To figure this out (bear with me, I'm just trying to follow along here and retrace how the adv. probot was chosen) we'd need to calculate something like this:
Damage * (1 / Attack Speed) = DPS
Sooo.....
For the adv. probot damage is 145 - 152 on average (I'll use 148), attack speed is about .77:
148* (1 / .77) = 192
If my theory is right, I need to apply this to all adv. droid frames and compare the results. (I don't have all the data in front of me right now, and allakhazam.com isn't up-to-date on their schematics, otherwise I'd do the math.)
Let me know if i'm totally off here.
Thanks!

somebody once voiced the suspicion that the probot might be accidentally subject to the same speed cap that is enforced on players and that because of this the probot's speed ends up being only 1.0 even though it says it's less than 1.0. Is there any way to verify this? My probots really don't seem to do as much damage over time when compared against the R3 unit as the DPS calculations would suggest it should. I am becoming suspicious of the probot's speed number, but can't really know for sure.
My character has apistol with a similiar speed rating as the probot. When both the probot and I are both shooting, the probot seems slower. No calculations, just observations

I believe I have heard from other people (yeah, I know, real solid proof) that the actual speed cap is .5 and not 1.
that is good to know. i have no way of knowing. just saw that the one guy who did mention it here said it was 1.
But does your character have Pistol Speed or whatever it is that the skill is called?

Well, I went out hunting with my bull rancor and new adv probot to test out the speed issue that has come up. And unfortunately it does seem that the speed is incorrect. All wild animals have a speed of 2.00, and when I had my rancor and probot attacking the same target, the probot and the rancor were attackingat exactly the same intervals. So it actually appears as if it is 2.00 speed on my probot instead of the 0.75 listed.
But here's another strange thing. My BE gurrcat has a speed listing of 2.39 I believe, but it looked to be noticeably faster than the rancor and probot. I didn't do a side-by-side comparison though, so I can't be sure. But it does appear as if attack speeds are off.
