Thread: Playback droids on the yaht

Ive been a MDE since around march. And today a customer boguht somethign to my attention i figured id mention. Apprently playback modules cant be used on the yaht, because you cant group with them while in space. And if you group with them before you leave the ground they are stored when you enter the ship. I was just wondering if this has been bought up ( and sorry if it has ) as the playback modules are /very/ useful to mucisians.

It was mentioned once before, but just on a side note in a post about the effect droids in space 
So, good catch, that should be added to our issues list

It's somethign the musicians bring up fairly regularly. It's not on their Issues list, but it wouldn't hurt to at least see about Drashk and NewJedi possibly cooperating on getting an answer.
In this case Droids have been lumped in with regular pets as unable to call in space, and it seems unreasonable. I can't think of any good reason for it, and since the code of the game does differentiate at some level between droids and pets, it should be manageable. I would like to be able to fully entertain with my Musician, or craft as a DE. I'm also sure a Doc would be pleased to be able to use a Med droid for buffing, since they specfically allowed for Healing in space during the late stages of the Beta.
Been dreaming of starting a cruise line for hunting groups and droids would be helpful.

Im not sure, but from what the mucisiam said they can call droids. Like she has called her effects droid, but as far as im aware they cant group, and with the playback droid you need to be grouped to use it if im right.

Ahh correct, this is what I get for posting just before bed on a very long day. Sorry. Able to call, but unable to group. That might be more difficult to get a fix for, but my the reasoning still holds true, for Entertainers if no one else.

Odd, i could swear that I've been able to call my crafting droid on the yacht. I'll have to try that to be sure.
