I am going to have an advanced R3 droid built for my starship. I want to put the level 5 data module in it for programs, and then I want the other modules to be for combat.

What modules should I request when I talk to the droid engineer? Should I be getting some combat modules, and some auto repair?

Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.

That depends on your style. An R3 Advanced can hold 6 modules which is the most of any droid. It is assumed that you will still be wanting the Data Module which takes 1 slot.

If you want it to be a tank while you sit back and do the damage, or while you concentrate on other things (like harvesters), then you'd want 1 combat module and 4 auto-repair modules.

If you want it to do conciderable damage assistance,or kill mobs for you on its own, then you'd want5 combat modules -or- 4 combat and 1 auto-repair.

You can balance them out so that you have say 2 combat for increased damage, and 3 auto-repair for healing help.

Either way, be sure to ask your DE for Droid Repair Kit D's so you can keep your little buddy alive. The auto-repairs are valuable, but sometimes a droid just needs a health boost.
