Droid Engineer Archive
Thread: Coming out of retirement?
I played as a MDE from january to march earlier this year, I was in a guild, and a member of their town as well. I had money, a store, customers, everything was great, but then I had to leave the game for school and such. Now it is late december of the same year, I don't have contact with any of my guild members (i was kicked from the guild in May after I didn't tell them i was leaving, it was sudden you know.) now do I know any of the current ones (i've done a /who for the guild name, and none fo them would respond.). So that s a history.
Now I want to know,
- What should I do to regain a standing as a Droid Engineer? (keep in mind; I do not have JTL, but I'll get it for christmas.)
- Is there anyone else on Wanderhome on this board who would like my help or just wants a friend?
I guess thats about it...yep, So I'll leave this with you, and hope to get a response.

I'd focus on getting 'sale ready' by crating droid chassis and a few stacks of commonly used modules (Med 6, Item 6, etc.). In addition, you'll want to focus on tracking down some uber good Copper/Steel, etc. for making higher level Harvest modules or other good resources so that you get experimentation results as high as possible.

Let me be the first to welcome you back. I'm a new Droid Engineer and could always use some help. Unfortunately I'm on Sunrunner so I'm not on your server but I'm finding that it won't be long until you find your niche again. Even as a novice I get solicited for droid crafting all the time and I'm finding the DE profession to be in demand, at least on my server.
The DE population is pretty sparse on most servers. I wouldn't be suprised if Jedi outnumber MDEs (perhaps by a lot).
While this is sometimes frustrating, it is a good niche business to run....once you get a head of steam.

I'm hoping to be the first Jedi/ MDE! They will fall before me and my MSE Droid!I have it slated for late 2030 after I finish getting all the XP i needed for the Crafting Quests

Hello everyone, I was never a prominent member of the droid engineer society either on these forums or on my server Wanderhome, but I have some questions as to how to get back on my feet.

Merc,
Welcome back, there is always a seat at the table
One item, if you don't already have it, is to find someone to partner with to open a shop or to troll the forum boards to see what people are looking for. You would be surpised. I don't believe that some of the JtL items that DE's can make even require you to have JtL? Also, check the Shop locations link that is on the DE forum page. Good place to start looking for other DE on your server. Good luck!
Ain't that the truth.
