Hello,

I just reach Novice tonight and i made my first Mouse Droid. Which was cool!!

My Question is how are you suppose to make a living just starting out in the profession. Given the fact that you can only make storage and data mouse droids. there is alot of Crafting goin on to reach even one Tier of the profession, 48k Exp i think?, thats 50 something mouse droids.

Do these things sell on the bazzar?

Do they have any kinda of demand to be able to sell them? Its not like Armor or Weapons..the demand i dont think is there.

Any helpfull Words would be apprecaited.

My best advice to you is this.

Mouse droids aren't in high demand, nor are many of the things in the first tier or two boxes.

The best way to advance at this point is to grind your way through the mouse(Unavoidable), and follow the Blueprint tree. As soon as you can make Seekers(Then Arakyds), make them to finance your progression. Adv Frames in Blueprints are your friend. They're ~450xps a pop. Take 2 abundant resources(Steel & Fiber), and can be churned out very quickly. With 5 Steel harvesters and 3 Fiber you can chew through ~12k steel everyday in 10-15 minutes for around 40,000 xps. If you can get creative, and get more steel than that, you can easily get a boxa day.

Ok..so work you way though making Mouse droids they give 140 EXP per craft. Thats 343 Droids that you just destroy, 48k to next tier on the DE skill...and they take alot of Resources! I purchased 1000 units of metal for 3k Credits...crafted away with that and i know have 2700 Droid crafting EXP. So i would roughly have to spend 50k on resources just to get one tier on the DE profession. Without making a dime on the droids i'm making?

Sounds kinda redundant to me.

I would really like to progress in this profession but you gotta have "some" kinda of income to support it.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehehe

I dont see what the problem is. You are now able to make the best droid a DE can make. A MSE can do anything any other droid can do but a Probot . Now save what XP you have left for something that works and is fun.I would bet my MSE could beat a Probot if it had the "Attack" command. Its so sad cause its almost true.

Another thread estimated the "cost" of materials to grind from Novice DE straight to Master DE, taking the best XP/Resource ratio items available at all levels.

At the end, assuming 4 credits per resource, you'll have spent just under 2 MILLION credits on resources. Of course, prices vary server to server, so do some math, blink a few times, recheck your numbers.... yep you had it right. You'll be mostly broke the whole time ;-)

Well before you destroy all those 343 MSE's you'll need to make to get to Teir 1 keep a couple on the bazaar. Keepem cheap becasue they aren't worth much with out good modules. Then when you go up the blueprint tree you can slowly make better and better droids. always keep a couple of each in the bazaar. It'll help cover the, what was it, 2 million credit cost to become a MDE. And yes you will, or at leastI have been so far, always broke.

Best tip I can give you, grind to blueprints II. Then you have a decent grinding item (advanced droid frames) and decent looking droids.

Then I'd got for Intermediate Production, Personal Weapon/Droid/General Crafting Stations are in there. Now you have something to put in that decent looking droid.

After this sit down, go for Advanced Construction. The medic's friend is in there, Personal Food/Chemical Stations.

Next, I'd either work my way up the blueprints, or up the Production branch.

Better droids need module clusters, the clusters are in the production tree.

After this, Try to work towards 4-4-0-4 in skill. Wait with the refinement till last. There are no schematics in it, your first extra experimenting point comes at expert

Well good luck.
