Thread: Advanced Protocol droid... How much and can they do? ( naboo dweller ) PLS RESPOND !!!!
Do they follow you around like a r2 droid?
Do they talk? Ive read somewhere they can get chips to give em attitude or something..
Can an advanced hold anything like crafting stations.. or do anything?
How much for a regular and an advanced?
From what I can tell personality chips dont do anything in the driod I think it has a standard personality. The mods I put in mine were a crafting station and storage modes. They dont have a unqiue inherent function, except for programing them is a little different than with the other driods.
I cant remember if there isa differance in adv and reg, as matter of fact I dont believe there is a regular model.

Any Droid will follow you around if you program it to. Protocols don't talk, but they are one of the "converse" Droids. Meaning that to access commands and programming you follow a conversation tree exactly like when talking to an NPC (like your guild master when you go to train a skill). An Advanced Protocol will hold up to 2 modules, 1 armor plate and 1 personality chip. Any type of module should work in them, my favorites to use are Medical, Repair and Crafting (obviously not all 3 together). I don't think they have the body style to support Item Storage from a RP perspective, but if someone wants it that's fine by me.
As far as pricing I can't really help you there. Pricing is extremely different in the various galaxies.

Yes, they will follow you around like any other droid.
Yes, they will talk, to a degree. Most of the talking/"attitude" occurs when you are programming the droid.. However, it will occasionally say things at random when called from the datapad, or when given a command.
An advanced can hold a total of 2 modules (crafting, item or data storage, medical, droid repair)
The cost depends on what the DEs on your server and in your area are charging.
It has a default personality, but adding a personality chip (Stupid, Sarcastic, Prissy, Worshipful, Slang or Geeky are the choices) WILL affect what it says during programming and at certain rare random intervals.

I'm running win xp pro with latest IE, so maybe something else is wrong. It could be the link system in this message board that doesn't seem to ever work.
