Thread: Help a brutha out. Questions on XP and grinding
Hello all,
Now I know that normally this kind of thread has the potential to become a flame fest, but I want to begin by saying I looked through the forum and got no answers.
I just made the ranks of Novice DE. Now I begin my grind to master the DE profession. Well first of all I can see that I will be making at least 220 mouse droids to be able to get to Blueprints I, who in their right mind would want 220 Mouse droids.... (caviat - Selling mouse droids at a vendor near you).
I would also like to get into the habit of Weaponsmithing, which means more Crafting XP grinding. My first question is 'Do you get any Crafting XP from Droid Makine or is it all Droid Crafting XP?' - Please tell me what I want to hear even if it means lying.
Secondly, I am so confused about droid modules and deeds. Do you need to use a deed everytime you want a droid, where does the chassis come from, how is it you can create a droid for crafting stations and power droids, combat droids what.... and ... Ok you see my confusion...
So any tidbits of your wisdom would be great....
I think you're a bit low on the number of MSEs you'll need to make for Blueprints 1.
I think the number is closer to 300+ (I heard 342 at one point, but I didn't keep track).
If you craft anything in the "Droid" area, you will only get Droid Crafting XP, not generic crafting XP. So, you might well need to spend time making other things to get that general crafting XP.
As for modules and deeds...
The "deed" is really your 'droid', it just has to be tamed. Once you 'tame' a deed, a droid will appear.
You can load that deed with 1 or more modules you might make along the way. I always tended to add Med Modules, since it would be of most use to Novice Medics.
You won't be able to add a Weapon/Droid crafting module until you get Int. Droid Construction (the far left tree). Once you do this, you won't have to be at a public crafter to experiment. However, experimentation doesn't seem to do a lot right now, so I wouldn't worry about it terribly right now.
You really want to just get to Blueprints 2, as fast as you can. From there, life will get FAR easier. I got Int. Droid Construction in a matter of a couple of hours (once I had all the steel and fiberplast I needed).
I hope this helps....

Respectfully,
I did this, but now there's no Extrusive ore on Naboo to make manipulator arm sets with...:-(
BTW: Anyone know where to find Extrusive ore in Lowca?
I have been mining Extrusive ore constantley since the game has been released.. Insight on my part...
I am East of Naboo and juse east of the GOON Quasi City. where the wind generators line up, just near the cliffs.
I a few ideas on what to grind but I will keep them to myself because since I grinded out my 340+ MSE droids I have been steady building droids and selling them. I have seen others on my server reach Master then come to me and ask me how to build certain droids or what sells the best.
Its funny how MDE does not really mean MASTER DE.
My advice. Take your time. Enjoy the game. Build up some good customer relations. (Cant stress this one enough because those MDE's on my server dont sell as many droids as I do yet they have the ability to make the best droids). Just relax and have fun and like the rest of us, hope that they get the bugs in this profession worked out very, very soon.
first best thing to grind MSE... 147xp or so
next is adv. droid chassis... 424xp or so
but i have to admit Querkus is right. You have to have a market to sell your stuff when you do finally get to MDE. The bazaar is great for starter stuff, but with the 3k cap you have to get people to come to your vendor later on. If they don't know about you, what you can sell, or if you don't know what they want... your kinda outta luck.![]()
Have fun. Enjoy the game. I only tend to grind when I'm waiting on the silly timer for the shuttles or the easy run from town to my house, or waiting on customers in the hospital. I'm goin for MDE, MA, MM if I can![]()
You guys are the best,
You are right, once I get to Blue prints I, I will be able to grind on the Seekers that I give to my BH friends. Then it is a cake walk.
My only grind from then on out would be the Crafting XP to get to Weaponsmith and Architec.
I see this only getting better with time.
Best to all DEs out there
