Thread: How do you use a factory? what am i doing wrong?
Ok I made a schematic for 40 control units. I put plenty of ingredients. I started it. I waited a few minutes. and nothing came out. Am I not waiting long enough?

ugh, im still trying to find out how my factory is going to help me make things faster?
It doesn't make it any faster - it's actually much slower. It is simply a barrier for the production of certain products that need identical factory parts, and to automate the process so you can produce while offline.
The forumla for factory creation of objects is : (Complexity x 8 x Items)/60 = minutes to produce the schematic.
Control units have a complexity of 15, which in a 40 item run is : (15x8x40)/60, or 80 minutes.

Using 1 factory doesn't make crafting faster, however using multiple factories does.
These are hypothetical numbers, but you'll easily see what I mean.
Hand-crafting Object1 takes 30 seconds
Factory Crafting Object1 takes 2 minutes
4 Factories all running on Object1 will finish them as fast as you could by hand, but you'll have them in factory crates for easy storage and you won't have gotten hand cramps.
I use 3 factories at once on a regular basis to craft sub-components for the larger parts or droids that we have to make, it is a GREAT time saver to be able to start those up while I go around and collect my resources, then come back to pick up the components.

That's the exact figure. ![]()

I learned last night that my factory takes over three hours to produce 86 GP modules that are experimented to 23/86. ![]()
Now I see why people have multiple factories.... they DO pull components out of crates now, correct? I want my crate of advanced droid brains. ![]()
