Thread: DEs hosed again this patch

I posted this on tech support so maybe a Dev might actually see it since they avoid this board like the plauge. But I thought I would see if anyone else noticed this.

I decide to make a DZ70 to test out the new no perma-death for droids. But, every part i made came out 0/6 or 0/5 Durability/Effectivness. Parts I made last night that were 15/15 came out 0/6. Not 1 part had a durability other than 0%. And not one part had an effectivness of over 6%.

And the final droid? Of course 0% Durability. What the hell is going on????? How could they not notice this on the test server??? So once again, I have to take a break from making droids for people until SOE patches a patch that was broken in the 1st place

But I take it you discovered that Perma-death is indeed gone?

wheres the two steps back? did they nerf anything?

Data modules holding pets is a exploit.. and hurts our business... if CHs could have 100 tamed non ch pets in their droid to sell.. they wouldn't run out as often so they always have stock.. but if they do run out.. and someone wants a pet right then and there.. and there is this DE in a cantina selling probots.. hmmm instant sale.

don't try to turn around a burned pancake, it's still burned. Data modules were nerfed, otherwise tell me, is the intended use for them really to store waypoints?

It's one of the 2 only things a novice droid engineer could actually sell, now we can only sell medical droids... which everyone already have one. Thanks Sony!

I noticed the same thing, the starting experimentation values is much less than it was before the patch, often 0% or in the single digits, especially durability. I really wish the dev would actually test their changes before kicking them out the door, as their QA department doesn't seem to test every change thoroughly.

There are also no DE Specific fixes this patch...sure there is stuff that affects us as droids are a type of pet, but for christ's sake.. DE's are soo borked they could have fixed at least 1 DE Specific thing don't you think?.

Please help keep this thread alive:

This is where Holo and the devs actuall read the most, and keeping this within the first couple pages of the SWG Discussion Forum makes it the most likely that the issue will be seen and addressed...

i cant believe we cant craft anything now... the droids are junk before the patch now they are 0% durablilty junk!!!! the armor modules havebeen hosed for 2 months and counting...every patch the idiots just refuse to adress any droid problems they just add more and more at every patch. I quit im not crafting anymore junk it would be a crime to sell them to anyone at 0%durablily till theretards in power fix something im going to work on my rifleman skills and try to find something good about this game. we have been patient enough..this is a crime now they are ripping us off and will not even resond to us they also seem towant us to rip off other players in the game buy selling them useless droids. <ddager throws up his arms in defeat>

Uh... did any of you bother to check the schematics before ranting about the 0% properties? They're 0% because the properties have been removed from the schematics. The bug here is that they still show up in the experimentation windows. The only property of use now for most parts is the mechanism quality. In some cases, there's a module rating as well.

When's the last time anyone had a Droid decay? I don't recall it happening to me. When's the last time anyone even put a point into Decay Rate? If you did I feel sorry for you for wasting that experiment.

If you're going to come here and cry at least make sure you're crying about a real problem. I bet it only took Gorantoth a matter of seconds to research the root of the issue.

Actually, you're right. The first thing I checked when I got a 0% where I didn't expect to see one was the schematic. I wanted to see if the property requirements had changed, only to find that they had been removed entirely.

So Wolf, why exactly do you think there are limits on the number of pets and droids in the datapad if the data storage should hold them? Do you honestly think this wasn't just a silly mistake, something that got overlooked? Now if they removed the datapad limits and still wouldn't let us put them in data storage then I'd be right there with you, but for now I think you need to open you eyes and really take a look at the situation.

Everyone say it with me: No matter what the data module was "intended" for, it was NOT intended to hold pets or droids. I will stop crying nerf everytime the devs have to fix a mistake or oversight.

There, don't you feel better already?
