Thread: Getting discouraged ...

What's everyone else doing lately to keep occupied? I've been working more on combat skills, but there is only so much you can do after Master Artisian and Master DE. I've even dropped Medic! I'm really not going to go start anew on a different server.

Droid sales have gone way down since there's no decay, so virtually no return sales.
Getting rid of the permadeath only gave us a brief sales surge on probots.
No word from the devs for weeks.
Broken, broken, broken stuff.

I've tried to keep positive, but it's really getting to me that there isn't much else I can do in the meantime.

I have gone back to playing Battlefield 1942 and other mods of that game.

Meh, i'm in the game for the long haul. if it looks like there's no end in sight i'll just switch professions again.

I'm just working on getting to Master DE before my annual vacation (that way I don't have to worry about harvesters and what not--or coming back to losing a day or two on getting resources for grinding).

After I hit Master DE, I'll just sit around...maybe do some themeparks and wait for them to either a) fix DE or b) create a vehicle profession or c) (if I have enough patience) wait for the Space expansion and go for some sort of starship crafter.

if everyone is this concerned and put-off by the situation and they're masters i'm really reconsidering my newfound novice DE status (finally after about a week and a half of MSE deeds i made it to intermediate blueprints, how utterly anticlamactic)...

Avram,

It's easy to become discouraged with being a new DE if you read the boards. If you want to do this.......really want to do this in the game, you better be in it for the long haul. That's the view I've always taken with this profession (even before getting into beta). It sure would be nice if it were easier but I'll take it as is. I just shift around my priorities and what I do in-game. For example, I'm also on the TKA track, so I have a combat skill. I mine (lots) just like a lot of DEs. That feeds my grinding habit and gives me some good cash 'scores' once in awhile (primarily to architects). I also took time to do some Rebel missions and currently have a classified rank with Rebellion. I completed the only story badge so far...and spend a lot of time just...traveling. Seeing planets. I lived on Endor, alone, for about 2 weeks (I know that planet WELL).

If you want to move up DE fast, you can. You just need to get lots of the right kinds of resources ASAP.
