From what I can tell, everytime you call your droid from the datapad that number seems to go down one.

Still don't know what will happen when it reaches zero though.

It's a countdown for a droid customization (which some day DEs may be able to actually DO).

Noone really knows just *what* kind of customizations will be available, whether or not customizations fading will have any effect on the droid, etc. etc.

Essentially, you're seeing the effect of a partially-implemented system: The field for customization lifespan and the code to do the countdown were added before any actual customizations became available.

that is good to know, the de that I purchased my newest droid fromtold me my droid would actually die when the count down reached zero but I don't remeber ever seeing that in a patch message and never had a droid die of use before, so I thought I would ask

Actually, your droid (unless another change is made in future) can not ever die. It can be incapped, but will recover shortly thereafter.

If your droid is badly damaged, it may accumulate black bar damage, which can be healed by your knowledgable and friendly local DE, or anyone who has a droid with a working repair module in it.

There is also the concept of 'vitality'... As the droid accumulates deaths, it may lose vitality, becoming somewhat less effective each time. To be honest, I cannot really address vitality, as I've really never seen it in action, nor tested it. I suppose I could make a DZ70 and run some tests on this, but I don't have a lot of time in-game, so may not get to it for a while.
