I hate to say it but I think im finished trying to have fun playing SWG. Was a great idea they had but too many bugs. We have all waited for them to do something about droids and still not one word or any changes. Many people have left already I wanted to try to stick it out and see if anything was going to be fixed. No fixes just nurfs, why dontpeople at SWG realize that they need to get the game running properly before they nurf things. LOL even the chef class is a joke, it takes longer to make or forage food than the effects from consuming it last 3 minutes good lord. I should have known I should leave when they nurfed the probots for no reason and killed droid engineer (my profession). The only reason i have stayed this long is because of the friends i have made and everyone is now very depressed and are leaving the game i see no reason to stay anymore.

It is a sad day

Don't know what to tell you, bud. The extinction of Droid Engineers on Eclipse has become rampant and wide spread. From what I can tell, the only DE's that will likely stick around are the hybrid class ones. By hybrid, I mean part crafter, part combat. They are mostly mothballing their DE activities and going hunting full time. Lol. Alot of them are using Non-CH creature pets while thier probots rot in their datapads. The pure DE's seem to be sacrificing/changing professions or leaving the game completely.

Very true.....they say patience is a virtue, but I have seen no on on any of these boards that has it. Well, I have been here since the beginning, and I am still having fun in the game. It is not all about making loads of money, or getting uber xp for this or that. Just have fun and play the game. Its SW for gods sake, have fun, even with the nerfed Droids and pokemon running around. I go out and shoot stuff just for the heack of it, or play around with other skills. I don't have to get rid of my DE skills, I can still jump around in a ton of other professions.

You all justneed tolighten up, andrepeat to yourselves....

This is a game, it is for fun.

I find being a DE very fun. This may be in part to having a thriving business when most DE's can't sell anything, but I'm enjoying myself very much! On any given day I sell 8-10 crafting and combat droids and at least 100 BH droids!

I hate to see others leaving the DE profession, but then again its more business for me so it's not all that bad

Here is the realization I came to..I've been a Master DE for a month..I have tons of credits from sales and can buy anything I need/want (Probably for the next 5 months). What I do on a daily basis is login, do harv runs (All night if its a shift), chat with customers (mostly all bussiness chats, rarely the 'hey, how ya doin, wanna go jump off the theed waterfall together' chats), spend mucho time just explaining driods to 'potential' customers, craft, setup factory runs, restock my vendor and logout.

Its a job, not an adventure. I exist as a cog in the economy. It was a blast getting there..having all the new things to make than having people want to buy them, but when you can make anything, it turns into a job with the demands of a job and all. It would be nice if we had things to look forward to in the near future (Like new driods and functionality) but even a few months away is too long.

Maybe this is planned, maybe they wish to have folks get bored and move on to other things, so the aspiring have a reason to aspire. I am, since I have come to the realization that I can make enough money for anything I want by running fun missionstogether with friends. Than after having fun...I can still have the same driods/weapons/armor/clothing/food that we make but have to do much more menial things to get.

The cost of becoming any crafter is astounding...millions in just resources, than of course the training. I could have had all the same stuff in the end by just playing with a non-crafting perfession and have had alot more freedom.

Yes what you guys say is very true. The only real way to keep having fun is to move on to other things try out new styles of game play, its just very hard to drop something you have worked very hard to achieve and droping master droid engineer only gives me one skill point if i drop it not sure what is up with that. I would have to drop just about everything in droid skill tree to try something new. But im going to have to droid engineering is no fun anymore.

I would have to drop just several things in skill tree to try something new. But im going to have too... droid engineering is no fun anymore. I just hate seeing so many friends leaving the game because of bugs and weird nurfs. Maybe SWG should aproach this nurfing thing differently instead of nurfing one class at a time just wait and make changes all classes at once, i think doing it like they are it will never end.

ddagger just trying to have fun

Currently I am working on my pistoleer skills and just got my first faction "pet" today. Quite happy, a lot more satisfaction than the endless droid making.

I am not quitting DE, it's on the back burner for a week or so.

Here's the deal. If you climb up to Master DE to run a droid
business, expect to run a droid business. Like any other business,
it is outrageously time consuming. Especially if you are running it
yourself. Don't bitch when the path you have chosen turns out to be
exactly what you wanted. If you have to spend all day talking to
customers and building droids, then your business is doing well.
Congrats!
I'm a DE. I don't want to run a droid business. I just want to make
them for my PA bretheren. I don't want to spend the time on a
business, and I am thoroughly enjoying myself. Consider what it is
you are working towards, and decide whether it is what you want first.
Don't jump on a forum to bitch about your self-made displeasure.
The Dev's had nothing to do with it.
