b4 launch i really wanted to be a DE but the first month, i quit. but i was thinking for some cool new droids like:

1.droidekas(already done a million times over)

2.ranger droids(able to "attract' a desired creature by a scent or something)

variation of ranger droid(instead of attracting animals this droid repels them by scent or sound)

3.entertainer droids(droids that cast "holo-images" on the dancer to make itmore appealing&healing BF faster)

4.turret droids(droids w/ any ranged weaponmounted on them, giving the user an accuracy bonus, or damage or speed)

5.errand droids(say i didnt want to go to town to buy resources off the baazaar, so i send my droid to do it for me, i dunno how this would work)

6.slicing droids,mobile droid vendors, and overall more combat droids

I agree Drummer, my idea of droids was to fill gaps. DE need some serious loving, and this is coming from a Bio Engineer.

Droids should actually do some skills that are already in the game, I know that, that may make some other professions slightly upset but that is the way I view droids. They should be able to be used on as mobile shops, definately Slicers!, combat, entertainers, medics, clothing, armor, and structure repair. etc...

To tell the truth I'd like to see the droids take the place of the hole Creature handler profession as well. Nobody would be upset if they saw 3 droids following a person, the CH are just out of place in this game if you ask me.

yeah, there are alot of CH's in game.but thats a different story

Agreed. I'd say most people wouldn't mind if ANY character of any profession or skill set could have three droids, provided only one was a combat droid. I mean shoot, it'd be nice to be able to repair your own droid with one of your own droids
