Thread: Where Do You All Find Those 900+ Quality Resources?

I have made Master DE and now is the time for me to start building the droids. Where do YOU get the 900+ quailty and conductivity resources?

1) Do you huntall the worlds, surveying and taking samples?

2) If this is the case, what worlds lend the best quality samples, or is it a crap-shoot?

3) Do you wait for some professional surveyor-miner to gather the items and sell them on the market for you to buy?

4) Is there some other way for gathering the resources (without using your friends or PA members)?

Thanks all for your time and efforts.

Curious: Why would you want such good material? Droids don't use it.

I stay mostly on one planet, Corellia. When a good material comes along, I mine the snot out of it.

In addition, whenever for whatever reason I hear about a good material elsewhere (for instance, by using SWGCRAFT.COM) I travel a bit. Currently for instance I'm mining radioactives and inert gas on Talus.

Finally, I HOARD my material, when I find a good one. I figure it will make a difference SOME day.

They don't??

Youmean I can use any ole' rotten resource, no matter what the quality or conductivity, and get the same result as someone using 900+ resources? Every droid, no matter who makes it or the material used (considering all add-ons are the same), are exactly alike?

I don't know if this is good news or bad.

Right now, for any droids you make, experimentation makes vanishingly little if any difference.

Many subcomponents show a 'quality' rating, but once again, little if any difference.

Even for those things we CAN change (like the HAM on a probot), guess what? That difference disappears by the time you tame the droid.

*sigh*

I still experiment crafting stations on principal.

Um... n00b question but...

Shouldnt you know how to survey and hunt for materials sometime long before you master DE?

Something bothered me about this line ...

"I have made Master DE and now is the time for me to start building the droids. Where do YOU get the 900+ quailty and conductivity resources? "

So you grinded (ground?) all the way to master without selling droids? lol

man, I grinded the first 3 boxes of blueprints and that was it, 95% of my exp after that has been from actual sales. As a matter of fact, I believe the day I get myself to master, I may quit lol

Amen brother DE.

So the question here would be: Is a Master Droid Engineer that does not know how to make droids really a Master Droid Engineer?

I did the same, once I hit Blueprints 3 I then got my exp by building droids and then selling every last one of them. Grinding is boring and not profitable. I was a millionare before I had half my bubbles in the DE profession filled. Granted it took me 3 months to hit MDE but the ride was fun and I have a nice customer base.

To answer the inquiry about me grinding, Yes, I ground all the way up with making very few droids (10 as of today and they were free to PA members as learner models) and almost everthing I did, I did in practice mode (good ole' Advanced Droid Frames). I am not going to sell low-level droids to others when I was a 1/0/0/4. Nor was I going to demean the Droid Engineer skill by flooding the market with grinding droids. This would have be unfair to other DEs and the customer base. I don't even have my Droid Engineer name tag on (yet). My goal is makeonly premium droids (the best that we can at this time), which in turn deserves a premium price.

My time on-line is limited and I spent most of it trying to keep my 9 harvesters and 1 wind generatorgoing, this was my style of playing. (By this statement, you should realize I know how to survey.)

By this post, I was looking for a short-cut or a "trick" to see if there was any other way of getting the resouces needed.

Well Gossimer the best way i've found to get the High quality resources is watch for the resource shifts usually fri-monday you will see major changes in the resources when you see a new resource immeditately sample it to check quality. If you spend 1hr a day just checking on the various resources you should be able to get your harvesters down on the really nice resources and get a good stock of them assuming you willing/able to pay the redeed costs for this on a regular basis.

I personally run about 20 harvesters full time with the help of a couple friend and have in the last 2 weeks managed to amass about 500k in various resources along with selling droids and resources during that period. I run8 heavy harvesters of various types and 11 mediums plus a fusion generator. It was hard to get started but once i did i can now make pretty much anything that takes my fancy or someone wants.I just have to spend 1-2hrsevery 3days servicing my harvester collection and1-2hrs checking resources which leaves me alot of play time to do what i want, and i have a steady cash inflow from regular customers.

I do too! And I still use my best material on them. To what end, I don't know.

So do I.. What would happen if they came out with a quility control tool to test out your droids quility. If I payed 30k for a droid and found out it was made with crappy resources, I wouldn't be too happy.. Thats why I would rather use HQ resources and make they droids HQ..

Thats like eating a In&Out soyberger...lol j/k.....But that would suck if you found out that your favorite hamburger joint uses fake meat...
