Thread: Probot with Armor 6?

I have made a probot droid with two armor 6 modules installed but the result is 40% medium armor. It seems to be the same as if I used two armor 4 modules! Is it a bug or what?

Maximum armor on droids is currently set to what you got: 40% medium.

Using more than one armor 6 module is a waste. A REAL waste considering you needed to obtain composite segments to make 'em.

Just to expands a little farther on this, anytime you stack together 2 level IV modules (armor, medical, stroage, etc.) it functions as a level VI module. You can never stack modules to exceed the abilities of a level VI module, so 2 level VI armor modules won't have any more effect than 1 level VI armor module.

The advantage of using a composite armor plate to make a level VI module is that some droids can only use a single armor module.

Agreed. The real advantage is that a Master can make basic Probots that are as tough as advanced ones made by anyone else. I guess you can then either go the lower-price or higher-profits route at that point for your basic combat-ready well-armored droid.

I suppose it's a small advantage, really. It pays off better in medical modules, where a single level 6 can give maximum medical capability to virtually any droid, and leave room for a crafting station in most.

Yeah. Module stacking really tends to pay off more with the general service modules, I think.

someone from the DEVs need to shine some light on this.. I tried both ways and did a test, The probot with the 2 arm6 last the longest.. The 1 with 1 lvl 6 sucked rocks......

You guys can go ahead and build your bots the way you see fit, but, I think it makes a difference.

umm

armor

1 layer or 2 please

now just a thought

500 damage hits ( ap 0 ) a 1 layer armor droid

its ap0 so its cut in half twice...

leaveing 125 damage to get reduced by the armor value = 75 ham damage

500 damage hits ( ap 0 ) a 2 layer armor droid

its ap0 so its cut in half twice...

leaving 125 to get slowed down by the first layer.. = 75 potential ham damage

leaving 75 to get slowed down by the second layer = 45 ham damage

now if we could only prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt with some weapon that allways hits for the same amount

I refuse to sell basic probots to customers.. 810 ham ...

I sell advanced probots.. 825 ham 55 to 60 damage with medical 6, and generally item storage 6 ( 10 items )

allways using 2 layers of armor 4.. unless by request they want type 5 or type 6

btw post nerf probots and pre nerf probots vs ap 0 mobs.. seem to last exactly as long... 825 ham 3150 ham.. could this also be .. due to the fact that most prener probots were 1 layer of armor 4.. want some math to prove multi layering... or since ya as bored as me.. you have time to see it for yourself..

Gveedo, rymes with cheedo.. but I am green not orange
