Thread: Do you have to be a doctor to use medical droids

I have a level 6 module medical with 10 storage r2 unit which is still deeded. I made it for a doctor friend for helping out, but after i made it we decided on a Surgical Droid instead. Not a problem, but wanted to know if i can market it to anyone with medic skills or does it have to be a doctor.

Does the medical module enhance bacta spray and bacta toss, i may just add it to my datapad if it can

Any help would be great

Doctors no longer use medical droids post-CU. They are strictly for the Medic and Combat Medic classes. And yes, you must be one of the two to use a medical droid. The exception is stimpack dispensers. Anyone can use them, but the stims must be loaded into the droid by a doctor (this might be different post-CU, I don't know).

Thats not entirely true Rasal.

Medical Droids aren't the standard that they once were for Doctors, however they do offer many benefits still.

The following is the benefit that a Medical Module will offer Bacta Shot.

Level 1 Medical Module / 55 Rating = 200 point increase

Level2 Medical Module/ 65 Rating = 250 point increase

Level3 Medical Module/ 75 Rating = 300 point increase

Level4 Medical Module/ 85 Rating = 350 point increase

Level5 Medical Module/ 100 Rating = 400 point increase

Level6 Medical Module/110 Rating = 450 point increase

Bacta Toss and Bacta Spray aren't as highly increased as Bacta Shot is, however both see a marked increase with a droid is present.

Doctor Buffs are increased by a Medical Droid, however since the duration of a Doctor Buff is so short, the droid only shows a slight increase in duration times.

Making SWG more Star Warsy. One droid at a time.

Actually you are both right.

Rasal is thinking of Doc in the manner of people at home buffing. Drashk is thinking of terms of Docs in the field fighting. Basically anybody who uses an actualy healing skill (not a stim,) will find a med droid usefull.

Heh like I said using a skill. Jedi use the mystical Force which binds the univers together.
