Posted this earlier, but apparently it didn't go through. Does anybody have the link of the person who did a post of all the droids we get and their uses and ratings?

Think I understand your question, and to the best of my knowledge, no one has really compiled a list like what you want. One reason: the ship doesn't define it's type, the pilot and it's gear does.

Granted, there are a few like the B-Wing, TIE Bomber, Y-Wing that are supposed to be flying gunboats. But, for the most part, any ship can be made into just about any category.

For myself, here's what I look at them like: (Imperial, since that's what I fly)

Fast Attack/Interceptors:
TIE/Ln (Light Duty, Heavy, Line, and Fighter...they all group together)
TIE/In
TIE/Adv
TIE/Opp
TIE/Aggressor

Heavy Weapon Load:
TIE Oppressor
TIE Bomber

Support:
TIE Aggressor

For Rebels, from what I've seen of them and talked about, I'd go with this list:

Fast Attack:
Z-95 (Regular and Heavy)
X-Wing (Regular and Heavy)
A-Wing

Heavy Weapon Load:
B-Wing
Y-Wing LP

Support:
Y-Wing

Freelancers are a bit different. Their ships are just plain odd, but here's a stab at it, since I've flown them all through a lot of masters:

Fast Attack:
Scyk (Regular and Heavy)
Dunelizard
Vaksai
Kihraxz

Heavy Weapon Load:
Kimogila
Rihxyrk
M22-T Krayt

Support:
M22-T Krayt
Ixiyen (sure, it's fast top speed wise, but the thing turns like a flying piano)

As you can see, a lot of them can cross over into other categories. Some could rate the Vaksai as Heavy Weapon Load with its 150k mass and only having 1 gun slot, so you drop a high end RE'd level 10 in there. It's all really personal preference. Some ships are better suited for certain roles, but it doesn't mean they are locked into them. I've even seen a Krayt being flown as a Fast Attack before.
