Thread: Droids fighting each other?

A friend told me he and his friends used to have their droids battle each other for fun. I told him that was droid abuse and I wanted no part of it but he is a nice guy so I decided to try and find an answer to his problem anyway.
His problem is this: now when they send the droids to fight they go right past one another and head straight for the masters. He wanted me to ask if there is anyway for the droids to battle each other.
There, I did my part and asked. Like I said, this is droid abuse so feel free to ignore the question.

I'm guessing that they are tryign to fight the same type of droid.
The creature changes that occured made it so that any like species will not attack a player owned creature, but will instead go after the owner. What you friends need to do is fight non-like droids.
An LE vs a Probot, or an R3 vs LE should work. I'm not sure about an R3 vs R2 or an R5 vs an R3 will work, since they may be too similar in 'species'.

i think this is something to do in the pet code now that if you tell a pet to attack it will try to go after the master. so if both masters told the droid to attack they would both go to the masters. althought if the droid is set to guard you and something attackes they will fight each other...i think i needto test it.

Right currently pets wont fight each other at all, they go straight for the masters. It's a bad change I think.

That must be fairly recent then, because as of about 2 weeks ago, they wouldn't. Our guild CH's tried for quite some time to see whos pet would win, but they always went after the owner.

Creature pets will fight one another. I've got a few creature pets and fought another CH and our pets first went after the masters but then after another attack command they did go after each other.

Yes, it was only two or three days ago. I'm sure it worked - or maybe those mushrooms on my burger were older than I thought?
