I hear to tell the story of a couple of little DZ70 droids that have been the best body guards a non-combatant ever had. Even before publish 7; I had built myself a little DZ70 droid that I would have tag along while looking for resources. Unlike my previous MSE droid, if I were ever attacked, the faithful little droid would charge into battle and get splattered within 30 seconds. I counted this as good fortune, because I had a good chance of getting away from whatever critter decided I was lunch. I even sold several similar droids explaining this exact tactic.
Now publish 7 comes along. I dust off my trusty DZ70 droid and make a twin of him, just to do some comparisons. The HAM values marked a huge difference in the droids, but I wanted to see how the fight. I took them out let them get chewed on by whatever local low-level creature I could find. The old DZ70 droid could win such low level fights. The new droid did not do well only doing one point of damage per shot.
In the role of bate, the difference really did not seem to mater until something big and nasty tried to eat me. At the time, I was using the newer droid and like my faithful older companion would go after anything that wanted a quick snack. Now is where the difference showed up. The old droid would be down and out within a few seconds and I would usually be entertaining a cloning center. This time, the combat music started up, and I kept running. Moments later, the combat music stops and I can see my poor little droid taking a pounding but hardly doing any damage. About then, the light bulb goes on and I call the droid back to me. The droid faithfully obeys and disengages the beast. Running all the while, just in case the foul thing is following my droid, I soon find the droid has caught up with me and the creature is nowhere in sight.
After playing with the scenario a few more times, just to make sure it is not a fluke. I find the results are consistent. So now I have a good little DZ70 droid that may have a cap gun for a weapon, but has proven to be a solid bodyguard. I have this warning for anyone trying this tactic. Do not shoot whatever is trying to eat you, run.

yea, I've used this tactic quite often in the past. In case you'd like it changed, the reason he's only doing 1 damage now is because he doensn't have any combat modules. Stick a couple combat modules in him and he'll do more damamge than the old one. For what your doing though the damage won't matter much, and those slots could be better used for storage and crafting or something.
