Thread: A Consolidated List Of Questions for the DEs on TC

Here is my consolidated list of questions to ask. I have been thru the 13+ page thread, and am left with the questions for the over-worked folks on TC (I REALLY have to get a TC character):

Survey Module:

1) How is the information returned to the individual? Is it a unique interface window? An E-mail?

2) What is included in the report? Just the resources that exist on the target planet? Densities? Stats?

3) What is the time required to get the report?

4) Can multiple droids be sent out at the same time?

5) Is there a limit to how “far” a droid can travel? Does it have to be an adjacent planet, or can all 10 planets be reached from one planet?

6) How is experimentation and quality of resources effecting this droid? Since it appears to be a generic item similar to the tracker and seeker droids, does it have a set number of charges?

7) Does it report a complete list? There are presently 40+ “survey-able” resources on Tat, Flurry… That’s a lot of info for one report.

Detonation Module:

1) It was reported that the MSE with a single 6/7 module yielded a larger “power rating” than a DZ70 with two modules. Clarification?

2) Does the chassis seem to effect the explosive yield of the device? (think: probot damage/combat rating compared to R3 damage/combat rating)

3) Is this device useable by any BH or Smuggler? Or do they have to have a certain skill level?

4) Are you able to classify the type of damage given (blast, kinetic, etc…). It was indicated that armor provided no protection.

Stim Dispenser Module:

1) It is stated that Pharmacology IV is required to load the droid. Once loaded, can anyone use it?

2) What is the range of the heals? Similar to a novice medic?

3) What is the rate? Is as fast as the droid can kick out heals to anyone in the group, or is that as fast as any one player can receive heals.

4) How many Stims can each module hold?

5) Do the modules stack? If so, is the effect an overall larger inventory of stims, or will each module fire off a heal when one request is made? (6 modules in an R3 loaded with 100 power stims for 600+ heals would be no joke!)

Please forgive the multiple edits... My work computer will not support anything but HTML editing :-)

8)Does use of a Survey Droid count against the number of active droids? (Can a crafter launch a survey droid and then go about his business with a crafting stationR2?)

ssssssssssssssSSS(:-<

- Account: Master TKA (cancelled)
- Account: Master Doctor (cancelled)
- Account: Smuggler (cancelled)
- Account: Master Chef (cancelled)
- Account: Master Droid Engineer (activity suspended pending developments)
Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.

I have a couple of questions about the harvester module.

Setup:

I have a droid with the module, I go to a scout and /consent him to program the droid (Ungrouped) then I go off and kill things, will it harvest? Does the programming stay between uses?

you can't program with /consent, and the programming dissapears after being stored/transfered so I'd have to say no on that one. You must be at least novice scout to harvest anything.

Actually I have one more question to add for the stim dispenser. Does the owner of the droid have to have medical or can a medic stock it then give it to someone not grouped to use. For those of us without medical a very importent question.

And one that needs to be addressed prior to live. I can be quite sure that this in not the intent of the developers (read: Checkers). To avoid a nerf down the line, it would be better to address it now. I, for one, would be in favor of this function working ONLY if the droid is being controled by a medic-type.

I've done a lot of testing with this one because it interests me.

1) Pharm IV is required to load the droid. Anyone can use it once it's loaded. However, only the owner of the droid can load it.

2) Max Range is 30m

3)The rate isdependant on the "delivery rating" (which isexperimentable). This timer applies to all persons in the group. If one requests a stim, the next person has to wait. A delivery rating of 6 had a timer of 10 seconds. A delivery rating of 15 had a timer of 7 seconds.

4) # of stims held is dependant on materials, experimentation and number stacked. The number able to be inserted is dependant on the "stimpack capacity" rating. The charges do stack and it always uses the highest power stim first. I should also note that the "capacity" = charges. Therefore it is ideal for a doctor to experiment on powerand not charges.I have not maxed this out yet. I'm putting the factory parts together now to build a R3.

5) See #4, yes they do stack.

Barker module:
1) can they be ignored?
2) is the time between bark adjustable?
3) is the bark on local or on another channel?
4) can they be shot ?

Harvester module :
1) do they harvest more, or less than their masters?
2) is there a difference between a novice scout and a master ranger using the droid?

I'll throw my questions in to the ring too:

Barker Module:

If the droid runs out of batteries, will it stop barking? (EDIT: TK just answered this one in his focus thread, and the answer is YES)
What is the range of the spam (how far away do you have to be before you don't hear it anymore)?

Checking your spelling (and punctuation, too) will ensure that you're making sense to more than two people.
