I am an Armorsmith that would like to be able to use a crafting droid to make my armor while standing in/near my shop. I have a friend that recently ground up to MDE and is willing to make a droid for me. However, since he is still new to his profession, he was unable to answer some of my questions.

1. I read somewhere that a crafting module's "mechanism" rating is the same as the functionality rating on private crafting stations. Is this true? Is there a way for meto view this rating?

2. Do crafting modules stack? (Are 4 wearables modules better than 1)?

3. What droid configuration would you recommend for me? I have NO combat skills but do travel frequently for harvester maintenance.

Thanks for your help and congrats on finally seeing some love for your profession. I originally wanted to be a DE myself but did not have the "fortitude" to stick it out. /salute

1. AFAIK, no tests have actually been able to prove this. Generally, it is assumed that it lacks a rating and therefor functions close to perfect. Or so I think I read somewhere on these boards...

2. Nope.

3. Well, item storage is always nice. 10 extra slots to stuff the things you always want to carry with you means more than one might think. If your looking for something complex, data storage can fill it out. It's not very usefull, but it's possible to have. If you don't have any combat skills, you might want to get an R3 with a crafting station, and a lvl 6 item storage with armour and the rest of the slots filled with combat modules, to allow the droid to keep aggro of you for a while. Or if you've got patience, wait 'til publish 8 and then get one including a structure maintaince module.
