Thread: General Modual Sockets, Am i going Insane or what?

I've been trying to do a trade in on a droid i made for someone before. I made then an Advanced MSE with a Gen Socket Mod with2 level 3 Storage Mod's and a WGD mod. and it worked great for her. Now she wants something with more storage, BUT i can't make a MSE with 2 level 6 Mod's and a crafting station. I checked through almost all my schimatics and it appears the only 3 droids that will take a general Mod socket is Adv Lifter, Adv Protocal, and Adv Surgical. What happened to the ablity to put these in other droids?!?!? I swear i made an R2 with 1 of each crafting station and some extra storage using a gen socket mod, and 2 normal mod's
Is thisa bug for an "Enhancement"?
My thought here is, the socket mod's should fit in any place a normal mod would fit, at least have it interchangeable with a combat socket Mod.
Or am i COMPEATLY off base here?

Ah yes ...what you were doing was actually a exploit that was fixed back in publish 6. a.k.a using socket clusters in non-cluster slots. Yes, you can't do that anymore. Anyway, don't feel bad. A lot of people didn't know this was a exploit.
