Thread: Droid Armor?

Hello Fellow DE,
This is my first post and I hope ya'll can settle something that has been bothering me about droid armor. I first crafted a combat droid(r2 adv model) and I used lvl 4 armor and I got 40% protection. Then I saw at a starport a probot with 60% protection, or I was just in limbo and I really didn't see it. So I got a armorsmith in my guild to make me some composite armor segments and I made lvl 6 armor for a probot and r2 models, both gave me 40% protection and no armor rating. I'm baffled, please help me! Thank you.

Armor continues to have bugs. 20% protection is the max fot all droids dispite most droids showing 40%.

Lucky you... you can find composite armor segments.. I posted (on the trade forum) for WEEKS offering a permanent business arrangement with an AS... any AS... for a continuous supply of comp armor segs.. no luck...

I just had my guild armorsmith whip me out a crate of 50. He didn't use his high quality stuff, which is alright. As we all know, quality doesn't mean a whole lot for most things when making droids

After much serching i failly found one.. he now gets all my busniess, armor segemnts, and being a smuggler with a vendor, armor and i am picky about the slice on my own personal armor so thats evenmore money for him plus guiuldies fr some reason come to me for armor.. hmm i am starting to wonder if i am in te wrong porfessions there...
anyways he has not regerted the sale of the segments to me and makes alots of money.. hoping to group with hi on the corvette as well as mayeb even set up aregular slice busniess with him.
anyways i keep hearing the armorsegemtns dont amtter and wil forever be worthless becuase the dev do not wish for armor to be better then 20% resistance..
as along as armor is gimped no matter how good combat drois are BEs will still have the pet busniess i think

I heard they were supposed to limit it in a recent pub, but only to 40%, when are they going to fix that bug? After the first store, my droids say 40%. Is it even worth it to get composite parts for the higher end armor when 2 lvl 4's will max it out?

I mustered up 18018 units of steel... stood in the starport and eventually caught someone one day with the title Master of Armor Design... I begged them to make me a schematic with 18 of my steel, and they did, so i took my schematic for 1000 crappy composite armor segments back home, plopped down a wearables factory, and cranked them out (over the course of like 3-4 days i think).... then I made my droid armor 6s... that will last me a long long time

Hey, i got an AS that will make them - but he is hard to catch on-line. Send me an email in game and i can get you the details.

It's easier than that... look up an armorsmith on the map and send him/her an email. I have yet to find an armorsmith who is not willing to make me a schematic as long as I come to them and provide the materials. Many of them are quite happy to do it - they would much rather make me a schematic than sell me the segments themselves because the manufacturing time in their factories is such a valuable commodity.

Yeah, you're much better off just finding an AS to make you a schematic, and buying a Clothing/Armor factory. Comp Segments take a lot of factory time and just aren't worth it for an AS who could use the factory time on something much more profitable.
