Thread: Droid customization has faded......
If your droid has never been painted, the message is erroneous, just another bug, but such a small one I don't expect a fix for a looong time. If it HAS been painted, well, you might want to have it done again at some point.
as for your other questions, the battery issue is known and we don't know if it is supposed to drain that fast or not, but right now it does, and there is no way around it. They have not said anything about changing the max storage in the datapad, they are just talking of changing the max you can have out at one time (limiting it to 1 pet total (inc. droids, faction pets, and creatures) for non-ch and 3 for CH (or something like that). The "plan" incuded something about DE's getting multiple non-combat droids out at once but I wouldn't put too much faith in that happening anytime soon/at all.

Do Image Designer changes fade over time?
"You have gained weight, you porker!"
"Your hairline has receded..."
I think all of you are Wrong!
My friend the doctor had one of my droids with a Food and Chem station and a Medical module in it and the thing faded away till it wouldn't work anymore.
I make crates of batteries for my friends and this was not the problem. The droid was never customized, so that ixnays that theory.
My friend finally destroyed the droid due to inoperability.I have listed this as an unwanted feature...
There DOES appear to be a bug that is causing droids to (very occasionally) forget that they were crafted with medical modules, but that is a different issue.
BTW
I don't get any messages like this. Is that a DE thing only....?
When your droid is customized (and customized means 'dipped in highly delible dye'), it is assigned a customization lifespan of 20. Apparently, many droids created before customization was available, and possibly some models being created today, have got a customization lifespan assigned already. At least, that's the best guess I have for the behavior I'm seeing. So if your droid has never been customized, and it is unbugged wrt this value, you don't get the message. If your droid HAS been customized, OR it has a customization lifespan due to a coding error, then you will get it, DE or not.
Frag, hate to tell you but of all the droids I've sold since the power thing started up (probably at least 300 or so) I have yet to have one that stopped working and the issue was not power. Its possible that this is some other random bug but if it is it is extremely rare. The one thing I have seen is modules not working until you use a power droid to charge the droid (not batteries). I don't know if this is an issue with batteries, droids, or user error, but it has solved every single one of the problems people have had.

well,
i really dislike the thing with fading color anyways. its redicullous after 20 calls or such that a color fades.
devs? u ever bought a car and its color washed away after 20 drives to supermarket? guess not.
think about that. i would prefer a perma color until u recolor it. its just an unneeded thing with color fading.
the nicest feature which brought varity into the droids in ruined with this fading, sicne most ppl wont want to let it colored every 20 calls not even agfter 200 calls.
pls take fading color out
